Guys, what's the cheapest way to renew car insurance and road tax?

I heard we get additional discount if renew insurance online, but I can't find any details on Kurnia website.
*
avoid Kurnia..

for own online renewal, u can try 2 below which i personally like because of the smooth and easy renewal and also 10% discount. After u've renewed it online u can renew roadtax via myeg or pejabat pos:

Etiqa - https://www.motortakaful.com/home

Takaful Malaysia - http://www.takaful-malaysia.com.my/home/Pages/Default.aspx

Well there is no reason for me to switch to other insurance company unless they able to give better discount.

I'm asking both Kurnia and Eqita, will opt for the cheaper one.

While that can be one of the option, in order to get the light turn on by cig socket-usb , you need to turn the key at least at ACC.

Let's say you walk back to your car with groceries after shopping at night. You would put down the goods behind first, go inside to turn on the key, and go back to boot to load the groceries. dry.gif biggrin.gif

In this case, other than install new lights from the same stock wiring, using those standalone AA battery operated closet lamp make more sense I think laugh.gif

Oh ya.. need to ACC to activate the port...
In that case, cabin light adapter would be the safest method there u tap the original cabin light with adapter and extend the wire to the boot.. since it's adapter, shiuld be warranty friendly, juz that challenging to extend from windscreen to boot...

Wire go through floor is easier to hid and fix than roof cover.
Anyway since mine is STD too, I did noticed there is 1 wire hanging behind the original boot light place, if I have time I will test it whether is alive or not.

Indeed..
Share the pic of the hanging wire...supposedly there should be a wire there, juz need to get the necessary light holder with bulb (based on experience with lower end Proton offerings)..

Just last month i changed my insurance from Allianz to Etiqa. Etiqa online renewal is very smooth.Allianz does not have online renewal and their customer support is not very responsive.Changing and renewing online will take 5-10 mins.Go for it.

Just to share. Went for my 20k KM service today. No more CVT jerking anymore. Drove around 70+ km after service. Before, jerking was still noticable.

1.3 STD cvt here
