TCU and steering also can upgrade?

Proton SC playing games with me again. 1800 number refer me to branch, then Chan Sow Lin branch said they don't have the machine to upgrade yet. Then Setapak branch ask me to make appointment together with regular service appointment. Then they said if just upgrade ECU, have to charge RM60 la what la. If do together with normal service maybe no charge or reduce the charge. Wtf? Ask back Proton Edar about this, they said for charges, refer to SC. Wtf? Some more that Setapak branch ask me who told me about the ECU upgrade? Wtf?

Thank you for the advise. To make it clearer, this car is not direct sold by Proton. It is from 2nd hand car dealer. I think proton sell it to them.
It is currently registered under Proton name. The car also has done its service periodically. I also called Proton customer service to verify the service date. All looks good.
The warranty is still valid for 3 years until 2020 by the way.

standard or keyless one?

standard only unscrew 1 tiny philips screw behind the key blade area.

keyless need to remove the blade then pry out the cover from top gap.

Its a great car. Just that ive grown over the power from the engine. Need to upgrade. Keep getting left behind by turbos/higher cc cars.

Good morning guys and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.

I was thinking to get a used Proton Iriz this week. Can only buy used since budget is quite tight.

Anyone here got any tips on what to inspect before purchasing?

Plus, I'm a bit in dilemma on what variant to choose. I will mainly use the car as secondary transport since I commute to work by motorcycle everyday and maybe gonna do Grab on weekends.

Any tips or advice will greatly appreciated!

hi, have u compare ur choice with other cars? if yes and u still wanna go for iriz, i suggest u take the manual ver. there are no problem with cvt auto but the cvt behavior might give u a bit problem which is delay and jerking. u need some time to "tame" it.

apart from that, u need to:

1. check interior and exterior for any defect
2. check engine bay for any sign of water mark
3. check for any sign of water mark inside interior
4. check all electronics inside the car
5. check the smoothness of the engine. if its too loud, vibrate or if there is any anomaly, then something wrong. iriz are not that loud.

i would love to help but only if its nearby and if im free
