 East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), 23 stations in cities. TOD booming?

are they planning to overpopulate KL to overcome oversupply houses in Klang Valley?

apart from just merely balik kampung..
this plan is actually build for utilizing the ports in east coast region, especially Kuantan port where Chinese company are still upgrading since few years back.
the purpose is to let the vessel unload @ kuantan port and than pakai train to reach KV, so they could by pass Singapore. this way the vessel could save 3 days time compare to now.
read frm somewhere but forgotten frm mana already. as a kuantanese who frequent travel to KL, i tracking this ECRM news for few years already.

research suggest it's actually increase the shipping cost to compensate the time save if transfer cargo in at port kuantan and out at port klang.

so most likely it's only replacement of penisular malaysia domestic shipment from port klang to port kuantan.

ECRL is a project benefit to rakyat in east coast..
if govt change hand, i bet the project still continue but more cost effective mayb?

Objective and long run this project is great.

but the transparency of the project cost is a question.
