Blow Job???
That sounds cool, must be smooth and easy as well... I think what sniper means is, using an air gun. That should be sufficient to blow off whatever dust which is trapped between any of those fins. |

QUOTE(kingmax @ May 10 2007, 01:42 AM) That's quite hard, and very tricky. If you ain't got the guts and you don't know how to do it, pass it to the professionals, or else, you might get a faulty notebook. If you want, you can pass it to me, i'll do it for you. PM me to discuss about it. |

QUOTE(kingmax @ May 10 2007, 01:42 AM) u better figure out how to take the fan out of ur lappie at 1st... most lappie use blower type of fan which is hard to re-grease after u clean them..Added on May 10, 2007, 2:06 pm QUOTE(yuckfou @ May 10 2007, 01:28 AM) crazyboysrs, keep a log of the lifespan of your fans. yah... u can shake it a bit, it'll help to clean it faster... juz remember to clean out the detergent water with plain water after cleaning them... the let them dry b4 regrease... it should last for a long time...very good idea.do you shake the fan in the pail of water to futher remove dirt or just drop in the pail and leave it alone? I'm trying this method on my faulty fans. It not enough power to spin fast in the water, i guess have to leave it there for long time.

Cotton bud to clean heatsink? I use this method to clean off my dust on the heatsink area as i am lazy to remove the CPU fan. Thus it's more easy and faster by this way.

I think I really misunderstanding ah....end up done stupid things.
Yes i did run it while it was in water, at beginning it was ok, after few hours it dead. Anyway, waving around the fan in water I think much better after few hours dip in water would have better results. Plan to gorek another dummy for testing. |
