There are lotsa MRT stations in Taipei & the largest of all MRT integrated to the Main station where you can switch to conventional train station & also high speed train.

It's just like KL Sentral-lah where in the same building, you can find Putra LRT, KTM komuter & outside = Monorail+ RapidKL station/LCCT buses

let say from the map on 1st post...

Correction stimix... It's the brown line from Taipei Zoo to Zhongshan Junior High School, now extends until Neihu, bypasses Songshan Airport... In the map on the 1st page, it's indicated as 'still under construction'... That Brown line extension is finished... =D

Added on June 19, 2010, 7:54 pm

Yup, no need to go Taipei Main Station...

Houshanpi (blue line), ximen (blue line), songshan (brown line) - all accessible using MRT... =D
*
erm heard from stimix, that there are many levels in taipei main station, how about this taipei mrt station?

only 1 level?

if not if i want to go to blue line/brown line which level should i go to?

cant wait~ flying 2mr =D

Taipei MRT station has many levels too, 6 I think.. But worry not, there are a lot sign boards around, just follow them and you're reach the levels you want to go... ;-)

Enjoy your trip in Taiwan!!! =D

jst back from Taipei too... rain rain rain haha but lucky many underground mall... purpose is to shop and not to go for those tourist attraction...

morning go to those place which is outdoor after 2pm.. go to indoor.. but their rain is funny i think... after heavy rain become light rain... so jst ciaoz when the rain is not heavy...

food is good haha, i mean jap food in taiwan cheap compare to those in msia... MOS burger only soso i think Mc'd is better maybe because i dont take beef? o-cien looks like fry with flour, but the blue sign( hao da da) chicken chop at shilin is good & cheap! i think their smelly taufu is not as smelly as msia lol

ah chung mee shua is rm4.5 for small and rm60. for big=) think they increase price already? as stimix mention is 4 hmm not too bad but the chilli is spicy dont put too much

i think during rainning season is better to bring sandles lucky i bring mine so no need to walk with sport shoes.. but can get cheap shoes at taipei main station rm30 for 2 pairs haha

there is a hello kitty shop at tao yuen airport =) for hello kitty lovers can buy your souvenier there, they have even those pineapple cakes, mochi and so on =) attached a pic of mine here
