Hi guys.. Let me tell you my story. I live in Mexico, and I just turned 18 a few weeks ago. After saving up for a while, I bought $100 worth of BTC around 4 months ago, and discovered this sub shortly after. I´ve been sticked to charts and the daily thread ever since.
I have learned a lot in the last 4 months, and I got very lucky with my trades. I was able to run those $100 all the way up to $2200. GNT specifically was very generous to me in terms of returns. Believe me, I never thought I would have two thousand dollars, that is a LOT of money here, specially for someone my age. I am very fortunate to have discovered cryptocurrencies, and I want to thank everyone in this sub for everything I learned while I was here.

I was planning on cashing out at around 2.5k and give some of the money to my parents, and organize a cool trip with the rest. I was pretty sure after the upcoming EEA announcements ETH would increase more than enough to reach 2.5k.Everything was going pretty good until Today, I made a trip with my family to visit my uncle that lives in a town around 3 hours away. I had my laptop on my carry on, and we got on the bus.

About half way through the ride, 3 fucking scumbags board the bus with guns and mug us. They took my backpack, and my laptop(among a lot of other stuff) was in it. Everything that I had been working
for in my free time, 2200 dollars, were fucking gone. Every single penny I had is gone. And the worst of it all is that this fuckers don´t even have a clue what they just stole. They literally just stole everything I had. Nobody ever touches my laptop, I don´t click links, I don´t download sketchy torrents,
I never thought I was in risk of losing my coins, and I never thought about getting a nano ledger because it was too expensive for me( worst call ever.) I just had a Notepad file with my Private Key for MEW and a piece of paper in my wallet in case my laptop suddenly bricked. I am writing this in my aunts computer, and I feel like shit right now, this is by far the worst thing that has happened to me. Let this be a reminder for everybody
to ALWAYS make triple backups of your shit, no matter how safe you think you might be.

I never thought I would have both my wallet and my laptop stolen at the same time, I only take it out when we travel. Anyways that was it for me /r/ethtrader , thank you all for reading.
