My recent real buy from Luno:

Time: 4/27/2017, 17:38
All-in effective rate: 5761 MYR/BTC

Time: 3/24/2017, 08:40
All-in effective rate: 4791 MYR/BTC

Hope this helps.
If you can offer cheaper than Luno, then you will one more customer  rclxms.gif

You can check btc historical price to see where luno price stands.
The effective price I bought usually few hundreds myr more expensive than luno listed price, not sure why buy probably thats the free
*
It means if the price quoted on top right price + 100 MYR more = your effective price?

Yes something like that. I think +100-150 is the max already. I couldn't provide the rate at the moment as no fund in my Luno now

QUOTE(wengherng @ May 7 2017, 04:57 PM)
As with any other online exchange, Luno uses the average price for its charts.
Meaning, the bitcoin price you see on the top right of the page, is the prevailing average price between the highest bid and lowest ask on their exchange, at the point of their system refresh.
Especially for exchanges with low liquidity, where the buy/sell spread is larger, you will see a very large difference between the "bitcoin price" and your effective buy or sell price.
For example, if the lowest offer is RM 7000 and the highest bid is RM 6600, the quoted "bitcoin price" on the website will be RM 6800, but it doesn't mean you can actually buy or sell at RM 6800.

Thanks.

They use the mid price of buy/sell for the price as shown in the top right there.

So buy sell depends on buyers to buy directly from sellers or sellers to sell directly to buyers or queuing.

It seems that I can offer better price. rclxm9.gif

Unbelievable! Stellar gain 9th spot on market cap! Nobody thought it had any use and furthermore, free stellar will be given out in June. As always, in cryptos, no need fundamentals or reasoning.  rclxub.gif

I'm using Localbitcoins and so far so good. Of course, I'm only buying and not selling yet. I guess selling would be riskier if there were scammers out there.

Yeah, I think to be on the safe side, better use Luno or Xbitasia especially if you want to sell.
Not touching it.

Ok, I sold off a bit of XRP. Wanna buy some discounted coins.  rclxms.gif BTC sneezed again.  biggrin.gif

Looking good.
If this persists, I should be able to get some more ETH at more "reasonable" prices soon.

It is believed that besides BTC, with much ETH progress and development,  that ETH will be a very good long-term investments. Granted that buying ETH is very painful but in the long run, it should be a good investment. wink.gif

Some nice discounts at the moment. Who's buying?  biggrin.gif

If those keep ETH from beginning at 1 is richer now.

Cant believe bitcoin is now $1700+.

I have one concept which can earn huge money by introducing some plans..But it needs a lot of resources, such as programmer, IT stuff team to do it..

Not sure if Lowyat has this expertise and to form this idea and earn money together.. haha
