its only the time's issue before Vista will be ultimately cracked. Remember how easy it is now to crack in WinXP? There's no point anymore if one boast that he/she is using genuine MS product sooner or later. Regarding the timer patch, the latest revision is quite hard to circumvent from softpedia QUOTE The true question here is how will Microsoft detect copies of Windows Vista activated via the 2099 crack, if the TimerStop driver is installed with a random name, the crack reinstates the operating system's date and the user is not required to enter a product key?

QUOTE(yetieater @ Mar 5 2007, 04:42 PM) Profit margin not high? All the research and development put into producing Vista came from Microsoft's sales of software and services. They won't be selling Vista at a loss, even with this crack out. Who do you think the largest consumers of Microsoft's operating systems are, anyways? I can tell you right off the bat that most copies of Vista are going out to PC manufacturers at bulk prices and that very few consumers will ever purchase Vista out of a box on a store shelf. As long as people keep buying computers, Microsoft will keep turning a profit on its OS. now isnt Dell also offer their new comp packages with NO OS preinstalled

QUOTE(lilzany @ Mar 6 2007, 10:45 AM) got crack also no use cannot update mah after they see all over this is a pirate copy. pirated means you just cant download the WGA related softwares such as windows defender and so on, but they will still allow you to download the security updates, coz they also are more worry on how the pirated system will affect the genuine system, should they banned all the updates on pirated OS. Its easy to think, a cracked windows full with trojans, viruses, when it shares files with a genuine windows system, the latter will be affected too, then the genuine customer will complain and etc...
