Because i registered 1 year ago , and the unifi keep on delay until now. The agent no follow up , so that time i not sure about my registration status. And until recently i have registered from a new agent through FB (jus provide personal detail and those, haven signed anything) . But now i think should be the previous one(?) proceed my order d.
*
It's not their fault, it is TM's slowness. My sister's taman also the same issue, set up booth since months ago and few agents came in and collected registration. Until today TM hasn't activated the port yet, so let it be until the time comes.

Since they have commission, I think they will contact you soon or you just walk in to TM Point to complete registration. That will be faster.

Ya, same issue with my taman. Just recently TM has activated the port and a lot of agent are promoting aggressively again. It was my fault too for being too impatient and register here and there  rclxub.gif

The installation appointment date from the order confirmation email will be 2 weeks time from now.

Good for you and enjoy your speed. biggrin.gif

It will have no issue, no worries.

Just helped my sister to check UniFi availability at her taman, already activated 3 streets and one of the streets is just next to hers. bangwall.gif
Still no news for her street...

Yeah, she is still stuck with 4Mbps Streamyx now. Every time I go back, I use my own data to stream. Luckily I have a lot of quota...

I'm not impatient like most people in here, just merely curious why Klang is so slow in getting the free upgrade
My block is definitely capable of higher speeds because my neighbour is using UniFi Pro 100Mb/s
And I'm on FTTH, not VDSL
*
Is it because you are on FTTH? unsure.gif

FTTH is the one which you can upgrade to speed higher than 30 Mb/s
Some homes/apartments with VDSL are the one having problem upgrading faster than 30 Mb/s
*
Oh I see. Sorry to mix it up. That means I'm on FTTH.
My friend's condo should be on VDSL then, until today still no free upgrade for her. Sigh.

The easiest way to know if you're on VDSL or FTTH is by looking at 1 of the cable connected from the wall to the back of your BTU

This is the cable connected to your BTU if you're on fiber (FTTH)

Unifi30 no longer offer free 600 minutes(?) of voice calls?

I think it's better to go for Maxis Home 30MB instead lol
*
I'm not sure the stability ot Maxis Fibre after all it still rides on UniFi infrastructure.
Having said so, I never install my phone set at all and almost all postpaid plans these days offer unlimited calls or free minutes.

The next thing I plan to do is to register an unlimited wireless broadband like Digi Infinite 150 and get rid of UniFi. Pricing wise, it's not a big difference like what I have been paying now - RM 179 but it's the portability that attracts me. Since I go on long leave usually two weeks and above, so it makes sense for me to bring back my connection to hometown or whenever I am travelling in overseas, I can lend my connection to my sisters and friends to use. Like last month, buta2 paying for one month UniFi when nobody was using it.

But again the above scenario is practical for me because I'm not a gamer and super low ping is not needed, so long it fulfills my needs for streaming and web browsing.

Who else has the same thought as me? biggrin.gif

trying to convince yourself change to Digi Infinite 150? biggrin.gif

If I'm not under contract now, I would have definitely gone to Infinite 150. UniFi is not always my first choice, I was a hardcore wireless broadband user for more than half a decade until all the so-called unlimited plans went into drain earlier. laugh.gif
Too bad I still have few months to go and not sure if Digi will still have this as it's just for limited time.

I know right and I will need to get a LTE-A MiFi in order for me to maximize the speed. Let me think about it. laugh.gif
And my Huawei WS880 will serve no purpose, maybe will sell it off. laugh.gif

Been thinking hard over this since Digi launched this... Sigh. If only UniFi is portable. laugh.gif

Thanks Fruitie!

It's for a friend actually. Her home is still using wired streamsyx connected to one pc so now I wanna set up unifi/maxis Fibre for her.

Update : won't be considering Unifi 30 as she don't want to pay RM210 (after GST) and there's no guarantee that she'll be getting a free upgrade to 50MB.

Also, Maxis has a cheaper offering at RM 179 for the same 30MB speed and an option to add RM10 for unlimited calls..

Also wondering about the router options between Unifi vs Maxis... I remember calling Maxis about this and they mentioned they're using some unknown router brand lol.

Just get a wireless broadband. tongue.gif

Few questions here:

1) TM UniFi 30Mbps price back to RM199 instead of RM179?
2) If i subscribe now, will I get free upgrade in the near future as per Jibby's promise?

Very disappointed on TM development. I had been seeing that promotion since last year until now, my home area already build with fiber cable and FDP box, but service still not available hence missing out all the promotion.
*
1) Yes
2) Supposedly only those registered by 28th Feb 2017.

I know how it feels, my sister went through the same pain too... Checked her location and it was activated until her next street. She is 6/15 and TM site showing until 6/14. bangwall.gif

Thank you for your info.

Seriously I do not get what is the point that our prime minister promised to the citizen. End up TM promotion ended on 28 February 2017, those subscribe after this date will pay an expensive service price tag without upgrade, which does not make sense at all.

I also heard those landed properties covered by UniFi can actually subscribe Maxis Home Fiber, but not sure how true it is.
*
Yes, this is how our country works. laugh.gif doh.gif
Yes, since they share same infrastructure.
