Pertaining to our birth cert in Malay wordings, I did mail ICA and they mentioned that text needed to be translated to English.

I'm going to call them and confirm again.

It took me long enough to realize you guys are talking about investment banking. I was too shy to ask and I thought you guys are talking about internet banking all along!

Rejected you after one year ? 😑

As a fella also waiting for result for almost 6 months, I’m sorry to hear that.

Did you manage to enquire the reason for rejection?

My EP renewal has been going on for almost 2 weeks. Is there a cause for a concern?

Folks, for those who just converted to PR recently, question about SingPass:

I've completed by PR formalities and I'm waiting for my blue IC. Question: what do I do with my current SingPass? My SingPass is tied my FIN, but now I have IC number.

Do I change my SingPass ID? If yes, how do I go about to change it?

Or register a new SingPass ID?

+1 this is correct.
Email or mobile numbers used in your previous FIN singpass will not work until u get them reset.
Doing so will preserve your historical record with other agencies on singpass platform as well such as IRAS..
*
Thank you so much for all the pointers. If this is the case, let me settle my annual taxes before changing to my new SingPass. Have yet to collect my IC.

Lol

Well part of it

I just feel laughable whenever I saw Malaysian keep complaining about Malaysia, while working, living and spending in Singapore, helping SG to push up the rental and prop price. Becoming cheap labour and help improve their economy.

I know many jb people, not even going back to JB once in a month, say traffic jam , etc, lazy and tired when go back, don't talk about people from other states.

Suddenly becoming patriotic every 4 to 5 yrs time is such a comedy show for me.

Not sure how a Malaysian can help contribute and help improve Malaysia, and I dare to say this coz I am previously a malaysian too, for a normal person not to accept this fact, they  either too naive or too ignorant to accept the reality ......
*
I’m not a registered voter, so maybe I can chip in a little here.

From where I’m standing, I believe all of us have contributed to M’sia, one way or another.

It’s just that, we want to do more, I suppose.

Let’s see what have I contributed to Malaysia.

- I’ve paid taxes and worked for about 10+ years before moving here.

- Ever since I started working here in Singapore, I’ve sent back more money to my wife and parents. Heck I even I spend more for both of my parents and in-laws whenever I come, on a fornightly basis.

Well, we can count that as contribution, eh?

Hi new to Singapore, would like to ask how to apply bank in account in Singapore? When can apply?
*
You can apply with your EP, but if I remember correctly you’ll need to put in some deposit.

Alternatively, you can make your way to CINB at orchard road and open an account with your malaysia NRIC and passport.

Hey guys, has anyone been in this situation before:

My current company EP is due to expire in July, the renewal has been 3 weeks and still pending.

If now i get a new job and a new EP application is submitted (while the existing renewal still pending), will there be any issues?
*
It should be fine. Don’t worry. I had mine renew and I had he same concerns too.

Go read up MOM or tripartite guidelines. It’s a gray area. In most cases, it is not applicable. Hopefully not for you.

I vaguely recalled that such clause is applicable if the ex-employer have reasons to believe that you may possess IP or trade secrets.

I’m not sure what you know or what you are carrying out with you when you exit the organization. I’m pretty sure they won’t pursue this.

Edit:
Found it.

Something along with lines, there are a lot of sites or resources out there that cover this topic.

I think TranferWise offer the best net rate (after they collected handling charges) and convenience, compare to money changers and DBS

Just that for the first time, identity document, passport need to be updated.

Tried InstaReM. It’s pretty good too!
