Hi, i've noticed that many jobs at SG are contract based now from Jobstreet and Linked In. Is it a good time to apply for a job at SG? How is the economy over there at the moment?

Hi, what should be the salary range for product development engineer with 8 years experience at SG? SGD5k? My next level in my career path is a manager.
Also, i can't remember if it's PR or citizenship, which one is the one that we need to let go of our properties in Malaysia?
Thanks.

Hi, how should we put our expected salary scale when applying to SG?
Let's say i'm earning RM6k, so it should be SGD5k? Is this the correct approach, assuming it is the same position?

Besides job street SG and LinkedIn, are there any recommended job portals for jobs in Singapore?

For those who have worked in large MNCs in Malaysia and then moved to Singapore, how different is the working culture and the people in general? More stress & competition?

QUOTE(Mackiddo @ Aug 4 2022, 01:26 PM) normally large MNCs would have office in Msia and Sg. Would the 2 countries have a lot of work culture different? Stress? What stress? :/ As in more competitive & if it's a norm of working late to get things done. I'm trying to compare a culture within the same company in general

QUOTE(marsha1l @ Aug 11 2022, 07:41 PM) EP passed less than a week. Now serving notice before going into sg you are offering or looking for an offer? been trying from time to time, only succeeded on iv invitation through headhunter. iv through self submit application, always hanging after 2nd iv. Got the same role as current job here in MY, Sr level. semi con field. A reputable headhunter? How's the package without converting SGD to RM?

QUOTE(marsha1l @ Aug 11 2022, 09:28 PM) Tq Tq. How do u define it as reputable? Their job description/role/company match during iv with their client and their e-mail when they approach me. Didnt get expat package, basic salary with clinic claim.they handle all the pass or related document. But the pay is SGD to MYR is slightly above 1.3:1 ratio. Once absorb by the client, pckge will revise. There are many headhunters or recruitment companies out there that collect the resume, call you to get all the info and then totally no news. Some even lie with the package, job role so that we will agree for an interview. Basically, they are there just for their commission.

So food, public transport etc should be up too?

Hi all, how's the retrenchment situation now in SG? Hearing some companies like Shopee and Grab have started.
Trying to evaluate the risk if we are a non PR and get retrenched.

QUOTE(Jestarz @ Oct 25 2022, 01:10 AM) If your working in SG, and coming in and out, it's $35 for the VEP, you get 10 free days waived per year, weekends dont count. but you cannot keep the car in SG if you are working, the car needs to be in MY for 6 hours at least, and meet some other requirements. Link here for more details As long we are not a PR, it is still acceptable based on the link. They did indicate that those holding work pass need to meet special condition (wonder what is it)
