Hi guys,

I have few questions about IRAS tax:

- 2013 to 2015 - i've started working in SG and staying in SG.
- 2016  i moved to JB and commuting to SG in and out every weekday.
- as i understand residential address need to change. and if i put in JB address, tax will consider non tax resident.

1. did other people usually put in SG address in IRAS tax, but they stay in JB?
2. Can i put in my last rental address in SG, is this wrong?

Hopefully everybody can give input.

Thank you.

As long as you still work in Singapore for 183 days or more in a year, you will be treated as Tax resident.

anyone knows a place in johor where i can park my car overnight while i'm in singapore?

Nearest to custom would be JB sentral.

Or else, any place which is safe and grab a cab/grabcar/uber to custom.

this! as i heard news of many car napping incidents in johor.

Not that serious actually. (Can be happen elsewhere other than JB as well)

For JB Sentral, just take note that it is quite limited on weekday 5.30am onwards until afternoon and it might got parking lots released.

hmm.. may i know more about that...

You can get mobile plan without the contract. For mobile phone, unless you sign plan with contract and get new release phone, else purchase from phone shop might be cheaper.

let say mobile plan and iPhone 8 64gb
circle life 28/month(4gb data) + iPhone price 990(mobile square)
28*24 months + 990 =1662

singtel 68.90/month(3gb data) +iPhone price 428
68.90*24 + 428 =2081

unless your company entitle you to get corporate discount, then you can sign plan with contract .

hi,

is there any bus service from jb sentral to senai airport? what i check from senai website, there is causeway CW bus to senai airport.

can anyone share experience to overnight in senai airport? as i need to catch flight early in the morning the next day.
is overnight in senai airport even allowed?

thanks in advance.

Don't feel like can overnight at Senai airport as their earliest flight from Senai airport is 6am+. Latest is 12 midnight.

Normally won't reach there too early as the counter haven't operated yet. What time is your flight?

Dear all sifus, can I go UTC JB for driving license record extraction? Usually how long it takes?
*
UTC JB cannot get the extraction. Have to visit JPJ, Taman Daya. You can get it within 15 mins.

As long as you continue to be employed by a SG company and continue to pay to IRAS then no problem one, basically you'll be no different than the tens (hundreds?) of thousands of SPRs who live in Johor and commute to SG daily.

On the other hand if your employment gets moved to a Malaysia branch and you start paying tax to LHDN instead then yes there's a problem.

Got 2 friends got difficulties to renew PR even though employed by SG company and got declare income from the company. Maximum ICA only renew for 1 year after meet up with ICA officer. I think this is due to they are not coming in SG. Probably only 10 times per year.

If I stay jb. What is best way to go SG every single day? I plan maybe 6am wake up. Later my passport keep chop here and there how?? Thank you in advance

And return from maybe Bugis mrt to in???
*
Causeway Link CW2 align around Bugis area.

Both SG and MY custom long queue nowadays. Have to factor in queuing time of 30 mins to 1 hour at both sides.

I can get the money faster(DBS SG to MBB MY) with SingX compare to Instarem. But Instarem exchange rate normally better than SingX.
