good move. if u decide to be here, please just convert.
infant care costing me 2k sgd.
immunisation and doctor checkup recently sgd200
giving birth costs abt 8k sgd (thankfully simple, otherwise emergency c section another 4k).

if u singaporean, at least after subsidy only 1.3k.
singaporean baby can go polyclinic i think alnost free for immunisation.

getting a confinement lady from jb recently cost me abt sgd3.5k (theres a 200 bucks levy, application fee for her nanny permit, and sum rule abt angpaos etc)

singapore is safe for u physically, but i hope u make alot of money so that u can withstand the very real financial pressures.

my friend recently, after working 5 years here as a professional (earning abt 8k pm now) finally got the downpayment to buy a 700k condo. (400+ sq ft). if married and both PR or citizen can buy hdb can easily save a big chunk of that.

wah... didn't know its so difficult now..
anyway, i'm converting to citizen along with my kids, and not looking back liao..
submitted my documents to ICA in feb after CNY, and got my in-principal approval in june..
my 2012 dragon-year daughter entering primary school in 2 years time, and being a PR makes it difficult for her to secure a place in school.
