Received notice that OCBC 360 interest and KrisFyer redemptions TnC will be revised.

Damn no more free loaders. Guess economy is bad
*
yes very sad that OCBC terms changed! sad.gif

i think UOB conditions are lesser. but need another credit card also not a wise choice.

furthermore, if we open both OCBC and UOB accounts, and split our savings, we also can't earn much interest in total right?

by the way, SGD rate is going up now. hopefully hit 3.5 this year tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

can get "chap fan" at S$3 here. dollar to dollar. cannot get decent food at RM3 in Malaysia.
MRT also not expensive and very convenient. almost everywhere has covered walkways / tunnels, etc.
not difficult to survive in Singapore.

Hello sg working people, I will be working at changi airport, anyone knows a nearby hdb room to rent?(bedok, tampines, pasir ris)

Preferably a room for 2 (helping a friend as well). Thanks!

try websites like easyroommate. can find a lot near pasir ris. i know a lot of people tend to stay in pasir ris if they work in airport.

although CPF eats 20%. the employer also contributes another 17% to the pool.
not too bad.
especially when we don't have anything in our EPF account in malaysia. CPF is a good way to ensure that we have some money in the future.

Is it better to wait for awhile longer before applying PR?

I heard many saying better to wait for like one to two years plus or better after first tax submission.
*
i think it depends.
applied after 6 to 7 months working in Singapore and got it. but i can't really remember how long the process took. i think maybe 3 to 4 months?

No arguments there. Just amused that what is "fair compensation" varies wildly whether one is moving from KL to SG and vice versa.

Because theoretically if KL to SG, 1:1 is a "fair compensation" move, why wouldn't a 1:1 move in the opposite direction also be fair?
*
HAHAHAHAHAH i get what you mean.
but realistically do you think people will pay RM15k for a SGD5k job here? i seriously doubt so.
because SGD5k job here is usually a manager level. and the same rank in KL doesn't pay RM15k. right?
