QUOTE(Intricate @ Jun 24 2021, 03:32 AM)
Hey there. I'm a Comp. Sci. fresh grad, looking for a job in the data field. I'm mainly looking for a role as a Junior Data Scientist, but I'm open to other roles such as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, DevOps/MLOps Engineer etc.

Is there a chance for me to get an entry level job? I tried applying a few months ago as an intern for my industrial training, nearly got an offer by a MNC company, but immediately got dropped after HR came into the loop of the email stating that they are not looking to pick up someone overseas due to the Covid situation. sad.gif Others mostly didn't even get back to me.

Given the current Covid situation and the tightening of work pass regulations in late 2020, plus my work inexperience; is there a real possibility for me to get a job in SG? Now that I've had internship experience, is there a little more hope? If so, how should I go about applying to give me an edge?

Any kind of advise would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

If I'm graduate from a Private Uni from Malaysia and mainly working on enterprise software development in java in this 2 years, how much increment should I expect ?

Actually I'm don't really know how to calculate the expected salary since I never change job before.
Let's say my current salary is 4500,  do you think it is possible to get 10% to 15% higher pay with my current experience level? I

You may also want to look beyond the salary. Long term development plan, exposure to large scale enterprise project, work-life-balance, welfare, etc.
PM me, my company is hiring. May able to find a right position if you have the right skillset.

I have 5000myr working in malaysia but i have an offer 3.5 sgd from same company transfer. I am somewhat a fresh grad with around a year experience.

Do you guys think 3.5 sgd is a appropriate starting salary for my position(IT) ?

Do you guys thinks its worth the transfer?

Still considering if i should take up the offer or not.

Life in malaysia is comfortable while living with parents not much expenses but in Singapore i have to start paying for rent around 1000 and food and transport as well as other expenses.

Come SG and gain more experience with SG company. Take some certifications along the way.
With 2-3 years+ experience, will open up more opportunity and easily can climb to 5k SGD.
My company is consistently hiring talent, you can message me next time if you looking for a job change.

Hi guys, i renew my passport online with option to pick up in Singapore embassy.  Then after paid i got this message cap jari bermasalah.  Confuse here, so do i just go to embassy and show them this they will allow me inside to do my fingerprint?  Or do i need to do appointment which is like 3 months down the road or just wait for email?  No instruction is given clearly and the numbers to call never ever pick up. Anyone might have experience this can help?
*
Visit embassy and request appointment via the drop box, write in bigger fonts about cap jari bermasalah. As a backup, do online appointment as well. My case, I manage to receive email on the appointment earlier than 3 months/online appointment date.

Besides job street SG and LinkedIn, are there any recommended job portals for jobs in Singapore?

LinkedIn should be the most common nowadays.
Check out https://www.mycareersfuture.gov.sg/ as well.
