The current generation of Singapore girls (and some boys) are wannabe influencers and instagram hogs hence the lust for material wealth has never been greater.

Wanna date them?

Be prepared to shower them with your moolah  cool2.gif

No chance here, Most of us downgrade to b40 (or whatever term they use) when benchmarked against Singaporeans, we only lie to ourselves back home

How to show tho? Cannot be straight away telling them you have money

Hi, is there any disadvantage of getting a Singaporean PR as a Malaysian? To be more specific, is there anything in Malaysia that will be affected by it?

That would be an advantage, why disadvantage

Does anyone know about the compass framework to be implemented september this year, do Malaysians lose their privilege in ep application, lower qualifying salary is useless when we can’t pass the other sections of the framework

current measure only require companies to advertise for two weeks? Or need to interview Singaporeans?

Does anyone have experience with upgrading to ep from wp? Do employers need to advertise on careerfuture portal in this case?

My employer refused to apply ep for me when I got hired, probably because of the advertising requirement, need to reject two Singaporeans before hiring one foreigner

Company usually prefers getting EP for their staff whenever possible as EP doesn't have any levy plus doesn't count towards foreign workers quota.

Check if you are eligible here.

I’m eligible, just wondering in the case of upgrading existing wp to ep, do employers still need to advertise the job for two weeks and reject two Singaporeans before they are allowed to submit an ep application

Many employers find this process too tedious and unethical to justify the cost saving

For Malaysian if got Degree and like 3-3.5k also can get EP one for fresh grad.

I think the minimum is you should get your pay package confirmed. Whether SP or EP same pay then only you can sign the Offer Letter. Usually in Offer Letter it should state the pay and then there will be a clause stating that the offer letter is valid only if company manage to apply SP/EP for you. Company will try to apply EP first if cannot get only they apply SP. That's linked to the levy and man year quota thing.

Anyway let others advise you ya I'm over 5 years on PR already not sure how is it now haha

Still the case after 1 September?

I am an EP holder with permanent employment (no end date on my contract) currently.

I forsee my company may restructure this year so I am abit worried.

There are contract roles opportunities. Wonder any differences between contract vs permanent roles in SG? Is it normal in SG to accept contact role?

My understanding is unlike Msia, SG employer can ask a employee to leave anytime be he/she is contract or permanent staff.

Did you get your ep before the introduction of COMPASS framework or after? I have mine rejected without reason, currently stuck with wp, cannot see my future

I am about to renew my EP. My HR checked using MOM system, shouldn't be a problem to renew my EP (above 30 marks but my salary is below the range for my age).

Did your HR check using MOM system? If you are not UTM/UM/USM/UKM/UPM graduate, i suggest to further master study at UTM weekend class for the sake of compass 20 marks.
*
The system says I’m likely eligible but still rejected

How much is the minimum salary for Malaysians now?
