Hi sifus, I just got an offer for $4k in SME at Yishun Industrial Street 1. My question is, how much u can save if u're single with no commitment & not boros & opt to commute from JB? I wish to save money to move to NZ/OZ after 1 year.

sometimes it's also cos rules and procedures change. last time when i had EP there was stuff like P1 P2 Q1 different rank of EP. then somewhere along the line MOM abolished those rank, but it's not like they will broadcast the changes to all previous EP holders

similar story with work on IPA, last time memang can work with IPA, but like the other poster has pointed out, now cannot d, must wait for company to apply pass and get notification letter then only can work.

I believe the Embark/Disembark card is the only document i'll need other than Passport for the visit right?

if asked by immigration officer, it's okay to say i'm visiting for an job interview?

By the way i have some questions abt how to filling up the embark/disembark form:


I will arrive in SG in the morning and fly back home by evening after the interview so:
Address in Singapore - didnt stay in any hotel, put the company address?
Length of Stay - not exactly 1 day...put 1 day?
Last City/Next City - i fly from Penang so Penang for both?

Hi guys i had a offer as PO Cisco officer so my salary $800 basic without OT and they told if OT can earn around $1700 is that true coz i dont know about the calculation so can anyone help me with this ?

This is a shitty job that why very hard to hire, local definitely not going to take it.
They only want young and fresh, easier to control and can pay less,
They are scouting mostly Malaysian especially Sarawakian and Sabahan.

y convert if i may ask? y not earn sgd and go back mas invest in housing etc? sg house, car etc so high...

and i am totally unhappy working in sg for life... am i the only person who came over here PURELY for monetary gain ?

I used to have this thinking, at least got a backup plan can retire in MY.
But then, how do the spouse stay long term in MY since no longer MY citizen.
From what I heard, it is quite unlikely to get MY PR too.
Children, if they grew up in SG, unlikely they will want to move and stay in MY as it is a foreign country to them   

Guys , need your advise I'm new to this. Recently I have apply an internal position within my company. It's an mnc o&g company. I have more than 13 years experience in global projects persuit.
HR already told me I be getting this position and next week is just formality interview with MD which I already working with him for long.
Soon will be salary negotiation from HR side. Currently I'm earning basic around MYR 15k basic. For case like this what are the reasonable offer would be in SGD? This is prepare me to negotiation with HR soon.
I plan to drive my Malaysia car and will go back to KL every week end. The affect on my side will not be too much as I need to travel in Asia region frequently. Whether fly from changi or klia will be fine. Expected just stay 2 weeks in singapore and 2 weeks overseas and will fly in / out via klia.

Lol if thats the calculation i rather continue stay in KL. It's a discrimination to hire professional malaysian by dividing the factor of 3. At the end what we spend , educations, food, car, accomodations its all in SGD. And it is at least the same dollar to dollar or even higher such as rent

Hmm, if you're already adding on 16% to factor MY side EPF company contribution, why add another 20% again for the SG side?
There's no situation where you can possibly get a contribution from both sides

Should it be plus one side and minus the other to see the net impact?
