Does anyone know if we need to submit our birthcert for SG PR application?
I left my birthcert in my hometown in malaysia and is unable to travel back at this time to retrieve it. Is there any other options? Can malaysia embassy help such case? |

QUOTE(ghodul @ Apr 24 2021, 01:32 PM) Yes, need to. But you can choose the option missing/document is not at you during application submission... Whats the purpose of doing so? They will still come back and ask for it right unless doing so can cut down some waiting time while i sort out the missing document.Ask your relatives to post it out for you... Another question is, what if I have submitted my PR application but along the way I change company? Do i need to redo everything from the start? Thanks bro! |

QUOTE(ghodul @ Jun 25 2021, 12:43 PM) From what i know, there is no such thing as transferring EP. The old company needs to terminate it first, then the new company will apply new ones from you. The HR told me that I don't have to tender and cancel current company EP until MOM approve the new EP. We can wait until they get the new EP approved only then I tender resignation thereafter which is safe however they told me that it would probably take around 6 - 8 weeks time.It would be better if you ask the new company to apply IPA for you first before tendering. There are lots of case out there, new company application rejected. They those people need to head home lah. Based on the website, it takes 4 to 6 months to review your application. But the truth, no one knows when their application will be approve by ICA. Some people pending 1 to 2 years. I spoke to some friends that holds EP as well and have recently changed to another company, they shared that it only took them like 1 - 2 weeks for the process to be completed. |

Im in IT industry.
Btw how much is your friend making annually to get the 45%? Im talking about approximately more than sgd200-300k plus earners. If we’re in this range then 45% would be a super huge jump. |

Anyone here using the OEM electrical provider such as iSwitch? My contract has expired and theyre sending notification asking if I wanted to renew. I noticed that the new contract rates are not as competitive anymore hence asking if anyone know any better provider out there, do share with me please?

Hello all,
Anyone went back to Malaysia recently? I am planning to go back in November, can anyone please help to revalidate my steps below; In Singapore; 1. Uploaded and applied my vaccination status on MySejahtera, currently the app is displaying "Fully Vaccinated". 2. Have purchased flight tickets 3. Have scheduled for RT-PCR test in Raffles via their mobile Raffles Connect app (will test 3 days prior to flight) 4. To apply for home quarantine 7 days prior to flight date: https://hso.moh.gov.my/outbreak-portal-hqa/index In Malaysia; 1. Upon arrival in Malaysia airport, scan MySejahtera QR and fill in the form. Once submitted, it will show proof of submission. Subsequently, open profile page, it will show HSO (Home Surveillance Order) - Guidance obtained from: https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/traveler_en/ Did I missed out any steps? Do I need to pay in advance for the RT-PCR tests in Malaysia airport? Thanks everyone! |

QUOTE(James1982 @ Oct 15 2021, 02:55 PM) Hey, Im going back as well in Nov, regarding point 1. update sg vaccination status to MySejahtera, how did you do that? I couldnt find that function from Mysejahtera app Go to this link: https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/help_en/registration/Choose i have received my vaccination overseas and would like to obtain my digital cert in MySejahtera. Prepare your SG vaccination cert as you need to upload it during the application. Will take 1 day or less to get the result. Good luck. |

Guys, need ur opinion, ive been working in SG for quite a number of years as an EP, and im in my early 30s now.
Im evaluating whether to relocate to KL or stay in SG and apply for PR. Reason why im thinking is of course be connected to our parents as theyre getting older, live a much more quality life (car, malaysia geographical size/space, house size and more) and of course im planning for a baby as well soon, which means without all those things its going to be inflexible to me. That being said, Im thinking if i were to relocate to KL, and they can pay me somehow close to equivalent of what Im earning in SGD, then i’d definitely make my way there. Also KL may also be less competitive than SG in terms of talents , etc and it may be faster for me to climb my ranks there, me myself is in within the senior exec role already in SG… i know for a fact SG have a lot of FTs with highly qualified individuals and very smart people there. But one of my close friend asked me to stay put and apply for PR first before making any choice to go back because it may be harder for me to go back to SG and apply for PR in the future. Now im wondering if I should apply for PR first then move back or what? But if im not mistaken, PR have to stay for a number of years in SG to maintain it otherwise it’ll be revoked. Im earning like 200k sgd per year and im afraid malaysia market may find it difficult to match it as much but i dont mind to sacrifice ‘abit’, and I’ll give it a shot… thinking my industry may be able to level it closely… I still plan to go back to SG one day once my kids grown up a little. Whats your thought? What will u do if u were me? Thanks guys! This post has been edited by [LinkZ]: Feb 28 2022, 06:23 PM |

QUOTE(Fiona Chin @ Mar 1 2022, 03:59 PM) We went back to MY after spending more than 10 years in SG. Mainly for parents and the kids. Both our parents getting old, for the kids we prefer less stressful childhood for them. Career wise hubby can support the whole family and I whack the kids at home hehe, while in SG we both need to be working. I like both places, each has their own good and bad. Thanks for sharing! How does the earnings transition from SGD to MYR affects you and your husband after spending like a decade in Singapore? I have applied for the PR regardless, my thinking is that I can't wait for the KL opportunities to come by only then I'll make decision so I plan and wait concurrently. If the PR approves in time then it'd be perfect for me.For PR renewal there is no official statement that you need to stay for a number of years, just that you need to contribute SG. PR has quota, if the old one not revoked, no quota for new PR, so they will remove those that are not contributing anymore. My parents still maintain their PR but siblings got called to interview when they renew theirs. Renewal criteria change time to time so never know about the future how it goes. We plan to go back if the kids can get into JC or Uni. Still maintain the house there. But mostly won't grow old there, its very expensive. QUOTE(KilJim @ Mar 2 2022, 11:06 AM) When you say "match" are you looking for RM500-600k? Or RM200k? RM500k-600k... Just curious, those are some big numbers |
