i love the active power thumbup.gif . any chance the speaker can be bought individually instead of a pair? most "pro" active speakers are sold individually. being able to buy just 1 unit is great, especially for home theater center speaker.

depends on your connection.. if you are using RCA connection then no.. if you are using digital input / USB then you have to rely on the speaker DAC to do the job for you

I'm into music and also play games occasionally. Does anyone knows if A80 would do any good or shall I just buy an Audioengine?

I just got myself an A80 end of last month. It's good. Small and compact. The vocals are clear and nice. Good value at that price range. Would have loved to get the A300 but space is an issue since I want to place it next to my display. Would be better if there is an option to add a subwoofer to it.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I'm inclined towards this A80 as well but I thought it'll be a good idea to add the sub? Mainly for gaming purposes biggrin.gif

Well, you can't add a subwoofer to it. Too bad.

You serious? I thought there's a subwoofer output on the speaker?

Sorry for the misinformation. I rechecked the manual and yes, there is a rca connection for a subwoofer. biggrin.gif I wonder which subwoofer is suitable for the A80.

This speaker is for those who want to sit back, take a sip of tea, and listen to something that strums the strings in their heart and soul.

Hi, now I have a pair of Airpulse A80 but I wish to place the main unit as the Left speaker due to wire length constraints. What kind of settings do I have to change?

Check your sound card driver, some sound card might let you switch side.

I would advice you to just get longer wires.
