From my understanding, it's a built-in DAC that's included in the SoC. No proof of dedicated DAC installed on the logic board either.

I see, sad that they ditch that practice since Z3.

i dont think dseehx is useful . When i turned it on , the sound become flat , too much emphasis on vocal. Something like Clearaudio+ P/s : I'm using cheap headphone only , maybe cant distinguish the difference ? . Maybe any sifu can explain DSEEHX ?

DSEE HX is just only an audio upscaling technology, to restore lost information upon compression of recording formats into mp3. IMO, DSEE HX on Sony's amplifiers works like wonder than the one built into the phone.

however, i suggest one to invest in high fidelity formats than depending on upscaling tech.

Don't bother. Not just sony, any software enhancements from any company don't bother.

I haven't had the chance to try other brand....

One amazing thing with Sony is their S-Master Amp chip. Too bad they don't implement it on mobile phones.

The rest of the software enhancements are just bullshits. Do bad than good 100% of the time.

when you guys buy phone from qoo10 or lazada for 2.6k or 2.9k, dont you get taxed? either sales tax or the GST? That will make the price of the phone almost same as buying from retail outlet.

Stated prices are inclusive of GST. There is no sales tax on mobile phones

For me, I feel that the sound output of Xperia can easily beat other phone.. Haha. I tried s8., one plus, so disappointed with their sound quality. Htc is quite good, but lack equalizer settings.
