Hello to all car sifu's.

3 days ago I brought my car to workshop to change FRONT rotor and brake pads, since my rotor warped for a long time.

So the rotor I changed was Brembo's Blank Rotor (Without Slotted, Drilled, Just Blank), and the Pad was Brembo also.

I even ask them to flush brake fluid and change a new one (DOT4).

After change, the brake was noticeable softer and spongy.

Maybe its new pad need time to bedding or the other brake system parts have problem?

Anyone faced this problem before? or brembo pads really NOOBS? icon_question.gif

Car: Proton Persona (2011) (Front and Back also Disc)

Brake line changed to stainless steel braided? Maybe your old rubber hose soften up already. Another cause maybe air in brake line, mechanic didn't properly bleed the line.

I didnt change to stainless steel line, maybe you're right i ask them to bleed the line again and see will get firmer brake or not

sponge feel can be air contain inside hose or leaking. basic check for vacuum leak is shut off enjin.
step on brake fully. release. step fully again. release.

count how many times u able to brake.

Thanks, will try that tomorrow, btw, how many times consider "NORMAL"?

Since you're using brembo pads, did you notice the annoying 'krek' sound when your car is coming to a halt? Each and every time right before your car stops, there will be this sound from the brake pads.

Nope, it is very quiet.
