 Stamping of tenancy agreement

hi, would like to know can we do tenancy agreement stamping in LHDN but the agreement date was past 2 months?

To avoid fine by LHDN

Just put "date of agreement" as todays date.

And "date of agreement commence" backdated.

Start when, end when. ( This can back dated )

if you don't wish to stamp, can also - any problem and you wish to enforce the agreement, you can quickly run to I/Tax dept to get it stamped plus pay a fine ..

there are lawyers that say that any agreement that is not stamped is also legal but am not sure how true this is..

Non-stamped agreement is still a valid and legal binding one. But in case there is any dispute between the signing parties and requires the agreement to be admissible to court as evidence, it has to be stamped then (which will attract penalty due to late stamping).
