Get your fact right first doh.gif

NZXT Kraken is not RM 1000 range, the most expensive one (X62) is just RM 759.

And Tecware Alpha is a standard ATX case with 240mm top and 280mm front radiator support, plenty of space for AIO water cooler.

Gigabyte GTX1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 - RM 699
Intel 540S 120GB SSD RM307
FSP Hexa+ 450W - RM 199
CoolerMaster Elite 130 - RM 199
RM2781

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 1039
Asus Prime B350M-A - 445
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 - 260
Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 - 699
WD Blue 1TB - 219
Corsair VS 550W - 248
Tecware F3 case – 124
RM3034

May I know among these three, which one would be better bang for bucks? main purpose of the rig would be gaming..

And can you guys recommend me a good monitor to pair up with the rig that would cost me not more than 600?
*
Depends on which type of games you are going to play, I can see they all come with GTX1050Ti so the main deciding factor would be CPU, if the games you play is CPU demanding then pick the Ryzen 5 1600 build, if not then the i3 will do, you could even swap the i5 7400 to Ryzen 5 1400 build if your budget is around 2.8k.

BTW for both Intel builds, the mobo picked is mATX form factor, it won't fit in the ITX case (CM Elite 130 is an ITX case) FYI.

RM 600 can get a 1080p IPS monitor already, look for ViewSonic VA2419-SH/Dell S2218H/S2318H/Acer R221Q etc.

Bitcoin price is attractive. Is it worth to invest a rig for mining?
Budget 8-10k mayb can any1 suggest the spec?
*
AMD cards are out of stock everywhere so I will use Nvidia cards as reference instead.

Intel Pentium G4560 ~ around RM 250
Cheap B150/B250 mobo with at least 4 PCIe x 1 slot (more is preferred so you can add more cards in the future) ~ around RM 400
8GB RAM ~ around RM 275 (4GB is also fine)
GTX1070 8GB ~ around RM 2000 (x 4)
500GB/1TB HDD or 120GB SSD ~ around RM 200
> 1000W 80+ Platinum PSU ~ start from around RM 1000
PCIe Riser ~ around RM 50 (x 4)
Open Bench Case ~ depends on which one you get, price may vary, just assume it to be around RM 300

Total cost will be around 10k+/-.

You could also go for GTX1060 which you will receive the ROI (return of investment) slightly faster than GTX1070, but in long terms, GTX1070 is able to earn more than GTX1060 (around 30% more annually). If you want to save cost, you can ditch the case and get cheap shoes rack from Tesco/Giant/<insert any hypermarket here> or DIY for yourself smile.gif

normal RAM is good enough for me.

i would like to max out processing power available for my budget.
case use cap ayam one also fine..
*
Nope, it's value RAM actually, Corsair and Kingston Value RAM with exposed PCB model is also within that price range, I picked G.SKill mainly because it comes with a nice enclosure without extra price bump smile.gif

And yes cap ayam PSU is also okay if you don't mind.

I'm thinking of migrating from haswell with to Broadwell, so I'm gonna re-use my GTX1060, Monitor & Keyboard+Mouse.

Could you guys suggest me a processor that would surpassed current Haswell setup?

Is it gonna be worth to upgrade from i5 4460 to i5 7500?

My budget would be RM 2k+ for CPU,MOBO, RAM (16GB), PSU (Atleast could support high-end GC) and new Casing (K7 is in my mind)

Thanks.
*
Haswell to Broadwell? That's 4th to 5th gen and the socket is still the same which means you don't have to swap the mobo if you go for this path, but then it is not worth to do this upgrade because the improvement is not insignificant at all, same goes to Kaby Lake (7th gen) upgrade, AMD Ryzen is a better pick if you want something that can bring major performance improvement to your rig.

QUOTE(Ivan Sac @ Jun 30 2017, 12:24 AM)
Thanks for the suggestion. Just want to ask regarding some of the parts as maybe I can top up a bit. Atleast another RM1k.

Segotep K7 - Does it have good airflow ? This one fully tempered glass right ? any problem using such case ? Or any other casing within similar budget

Superflower Leadex Gold 550W vs 750w Corsair cx750 = Which one is better ?

Asus strix b250 - This motherboard good for the new setup?

i5 7400 vs i5 7500 vs Ryzen 5 1400 : I know Ryzen will perform better, do AMD CPU's still have heating issues ? Is it worth to get i5 7500 instead of i5 7400 ?
*
Tempered glass casing doesn't affect airflow, it's more towards aesthetic purpose, more and more big brands are releasing their own tempered glass casing nowadays and if you would like to jump on the bandwagon but have limited amount of budget then K7 is among the cheapest option out there. If you aren't fancy of tempered glass then there are plenty of other casings to choose from within your budget like NZXT S340/Corsair 270R/CM Masterbox 5 etc. smile.gif

As for the PSU, no doubt it's gonna be Leadex Gold, it is a tier 1 PSU, the Corsair CX series is barely considered as a good PSU (tier 5 with expensive price tag doh.gif ), another option that you can consider is EVGA G2 (obsoleted)/G3 (new).

Strix B250 is more towards aesthetic as it comes with some fancy features like RGB support to sync up the RGB fans in your casing, you can save a couple of bucks by going for a cheaper B250 if you aren't going to utilize those extra features by the Strix B250 model and use the money for other parts.

Ryzen is good so far, it's a complete new process node and architecture. i5 7500's clock speed is slightly higher than 7400, if clock speed is important for you (single threaded apps which rely on single core performance will perform better on a CPU with higher clock speed), then yep I would top up for the 7500.

QUOTE(Legendary Big Boss @ Jun 30 2017, 01:56 AM)
If full ATX mobo, how much do i need to topup?

btw if im opted for mobo GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 is it cool? because i was thinking of making red&black theme.

For CPU, should i fork abit for 1500/1600 or 1400 is sufficient enough because i really expecting of getting at least 30% upgrade in performance from i5 4460.
*
AM4 ATX mobo starts at around RM 550, another model that you can consider is Asus B350 Prime, red & black board design as well.

Ryzen 5 1400 is like an i7, so 30% performance improvement should be easy to achieve, but if you don't mind adding another RM 200, Ryzen 5 1600 is a good pick (6 cores 12 threads), more powerful and a great leap from your current i5 thumbsup.gif

Thanks again bro for the tips given.

Can I know is there any alternatives for Super Flower Leadex Gold 550W Full Modular PSU? I couldnt find 1 near my place and I'm planning to Overclock the Ryzen 1500X alongside GTX 1060.

What PSU would u suggest?

Here some i already shortlisted is it okay for OC?

SilverStone ST60F-ESG Strider Essential Series 600W Power Supply Unit - 80 Plus Gold
CORSAIR TX650M — 650 Watt 80 Plus® Gold Certified PSU
CORSAIR TX550M 550 Watt 80 Plus® Gold Certified PS
*
If you want to keep the level/grade of Leadex Gold which is a tier 1 PSU, then you will have to look for EVGA G3, CM V series (not VSM), Corsair HX, RMx, RMi etc, G3's price is closest to Leadex Gold's price.

All the PSU listed by you are okay for overclocking, the internal components that build up the whole PSU matter the most, it is recommended to fork out more budget on a decent quality PSU for stability purpose.

FYI,

SilverStone Strider Essential - tier 6
Corsair TXM - tier 2

btw what does UK means in this product? Does it use UK power cable?

It means the power adapter included in the package is UK adapter and can be plugged in directly into our wall socket without having to use converter or transformer (some electrical appliances need to convert the voltage to work).

Sure, just get a 1440p monitor (if you haven't already) and you are good to go, it's a complete build, you may get more casing fans if you want to improve the airflow of the rig.
