[Purpose] : gaming (MMO & MOBO) and office work(Microsoft office)
[Hardwares that will be re-use] : Monitor, keyboard and mouse
[Monitor resolution] : 1920x1080p, Monitor
[Games & softwares that use frequently] : Black desert online, Dota & PUBG currently, and Microsoft Office & Accounting software.
[Personal preferences] :
- Ryzen CPU & GPU, read online is better at multitasking and "smoother" gaming experience
- Chassis : like Segotep π Cube MicroATX And Mini-ITX Chassis - white, Not looking at tall chassis.
- Better cooling system as I plan to OC CPU/GPU/RAM & open 24/7 afk at game.

If overclocking, is stock cooler from r5 1600 and the case are enough? or is better to get a mid tower casing?

Hi guys, having a budget of 4k here. planning to get a PC for gaming purposes like PUBG and Dota 2. Additionally, would like some feedback on the i5 8400, looks like it can out perform my old i7 4790, would this be a good pick? not sure if possible but prefer 1060 inside as well. Not really into overclocking so non-OC cards or processors would be great.

Thanks for the suggestion! i went to lowyat just now and asked around as well and found out most mobo were around 800 bucks more or less. if i'd decided to increase it up to 4.5k would that be possible? since i5 8400 is about 900 bucks cheaper than the ryzen 5 1600 and i need to top up another 300-400 i guess.

i have 2.6k budget, what kind of spec i can get? Prefer AMD CPU...

Hi, im currently using i3-7100. If i were to upgrade my processor. And have budget for RM1300 which one should i go for

1. i7-7700k (RM1300)

2.i5-8400 + MSI Z370 Gaming (RM1400)

Both have pro and cons so i am really indecisive right now. Pro and cons

Option 1.

+ Not so long ago, this is the fastest processor on earth for consumer grade.
+ Relatively faster
+ more threads
+ Hyper threading (even i dont know what this is)
+cheaper

Option 2.

+Newer processor so it is future proof
+6 fucking cores
+9mb cache
+comes with heatsink and fan
+i will have new mobo

so im planning a upgrade on my GPU, cuz 1060 running 2k resolution and 120hz and above is bringing down my FPS in PUBG by alot, 30-40fps.

should i go for a 1070 or 1080.

and if i go for 1080 will my CPU bottleneck? will my PSU be sufficient?
