Xbox Live Membership AUTO renewal!?, need help urgent...

I applied for a XboxLive monthly membership yesterday and I just realized that it will automatically update each month using the same credit card.
Is this true? I mean I won't have time to play Live for the next few month so paying it will be a waste. I tried to find an option to cancell this but unfortunately I can't do so.
Should I contact the XboxLive community or is there any way to stop this?

yes it will automatically renew it. And i thought u can cancel it ? I read the terms n condition it says u can cancel wan. Correct me if im wrong

true, once you inserted your ccard details it's forever no turning back.
the only solution is, you need to call microsoft singapore to stop the subscription.

patutla my gold auto renewal...but how if i no money inside my CC...they still use it ke ?..cause i got that CC juz to topup my US Gold membership..!..and AFAIK..RM20 only got inside right now..

Eh fren no need to call la. Go to xbox.com, then sign in, then under account management, click on billing and contact information. Then scroll down, you will see there under "your service" is the xbox live subscription. Click it and then on the next page click on cancel my service

i forgot who but this case same as i read today he asking bro merdeka who lived at singapore to cancel his lives suubscribtion since the option to cancel it wont work

munky, sorry not purposely want to correct you but clicking that "cancel my service" will guide you to a help window, and that window will tell you to call MS

i've got this same problem before, it goes like this, i'm using the ambank nextG perpaid credit card, lets say i've got credit enough for 1 month and i subscribe for 1 month, next month they will still bill it into your credit card even though there isn't credit inside, and the amount you owe MS will be deducted immediatly the next time you top-up, they deducted 3 months of fee from my card when my console got 3rod...damn..

Don't know if this is still relevant but its pretty easy to cancel a LIVE subscription. If u have a US account, just call 425-635-7180 (use maxis IDD 132, only 20 cents a minute). I got my LIVE account canceled in just 10mins. Oh well, maybe i'll grab another 360 later this year when the hardware is more reliable. Its good bye XBOX LIVE for now. I THINK...i think only, once they blacklist your CC they will not let you renew to gold next time on the same Gamertag. That's what i heard, perhaps someone can shed some light on this. Maybe they just block your future CC subscription. Anyway, why you do not want to call them up & cancel? It's quite easy, Microsoft Customer Service ain't that bad...compare to those i've experience over here. (vodafone, broadband etc etc all their customer service outsource to India...  )

Too bad the Singapore contact number is a 800 number..so i don't see how u can call that number from Malaysia. Send them an email using this URL https://support.xbox.com/eform.aspx?product...live&ct=eformtsTell them u need a number to contact them directly..I doubt they'll process u'r cancellation via emails. Mine just got renewed on the 1st Feb. I tried to cancel the svc by calling up the SG 800 nbr, but alas, they only work from 9-6pm. I got thru the nbr by going thru my ex-working place (call centre). Anyway's since they auto renew, I've got a 12mth Asian card for sale. PM me if any one wants.

Sorry to re-visit this post again. My account was registered in SG. I call the SG toll-free, failed. I call the direct number given in the sticky, also failed.
Can anyone please give me the direct number of SG Support so that I can cancel my auto-renew ?

Worse come to worse, either I change the detail of my CC or ask bank to unauthorized the transaction...but of course I do not want to do that if I can solve by going through proper channel first.
