i have one at my house. my room isn't sound proofed. my drums are faced towards the window and when i play i just open the windows and close the door. it is still loud but not THAT loud cause I'm staying in a corner house so less 1 neighbor to complain. so far no complains yet. and i only play before 7pm to be considerate.

Welcome to the loudest section of Low Yat!

Yes.... I do have a drum kit in my house.

We put our drums in the middle of the house..... dampens the sound for the neighbors. Yes. my dad plays VERY loud....
Doesn't bother the neighbors too.

Yes, I do have a drumset within the walls of my study room. Windows are off to the sides of the kit and in front of it is an unadorned section of the wall. There's really no need for sound proofing actually. If you have a drumkit at home and you're affraid that you'll get complaints from your neighbours, consider the following advice: Bang away, everyday, in the afternoons where everyone's at work. And if after 2 months no one complains about the noise, that means that they've gotten used it wink.gif

Well, that's what I did. I've been living in my current house for more than 10 years now and I am on good terms with the neighbours. Are you?
