Education system is just fine, nothing outrageous when compared to Scandinavian or even some Asian countries/city states.
Mostly the efficiency at work is just higher.
Just as a generalisation ... when working your 40h week in Germany the productivity is (much) higher than what I experience here in Malaysia where things are a little more ... laid-back (even though you spend more hours at work in here).
