U are refering to crude oil. We do not based on crude oil but refined mops  price as traded in singapore. The most accurate data that govt follow and we found out for months now is via australian aip mops price which is also based on spore traded price.

Operator Margins is RM0.05 Alpha, RM0.0954 Operating Cost, RM0.05 Oil company margin, and RM0.1219 Petrol station dealer's margin

RM2.2997+RM0.3173 = RM2.62/L

Thus the government is subsidizing around 42sen for every litre you are using.
