From my understanding, ron97 is not subsidized. so why is that government still controlling the price?

QUOTE(Lone Wolf X @ Mar 18 2021, 12:07 PM) Well the government has been controlling the price of petrol since 1983. Should be no problem if the price goes up or down. Supply & demand.I'm speculating that even tough the sale of RON97 is less than 10% of the total volume sale of petrol they are just to afraid that when the government let the oil companies dictate the sales price, it will eventually go up rather than down since it is a premium product (even tough the spread between 97 & 95 is marginal) + volume sale is miniscule (which they loose more money just to offer it to the market). QUOTE(Captain89 @ Mar 18 2021, 01:13 PM) You always pump ron97? Not many people pump that unless they love their cars. 95 should be sufficient My car only need minimum ron92, so ron95 is already more than enough |
