isr thanks for your detailed analysis. I’m looking forward to see what’s the new price for RON97 tomorrow. It should go down a lot. If it doesn’t go down much I’m sure they will use the RM vs USD depreciation.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Feb 28 2019, 08:50 AM) Calculation and table of estimated price can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBNif calculating 21/2 to 27/2 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), RON95 should be around RM2.13, and RON97 should be around RM2.43. However, since they announced that RON95 will be capped at RM2.08/l, my estimate, that they will be announcing that RON95 will maintain at RM2.08 and RON97 price will go up by 6 sen (±1 sen). Thanks for your explanation, just wondering about .30sens price difference.

QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Jun 17 2019, 06:33 PM) Does anyone know the current price of Shell V Power Racing? I went to PT website PETROL RON 95 RM2.08 (0.00) RON 97 RM2.41 (-0.22) RON 100 RM2.88 VPR RM2.42 RON 100 price is correct according to Petron website.. Just wondering whether V Power Racing is cheaper than RON 100 and only 1 cent more than RON 97? I haven’t used VPower racing for a while, i recall it’s always 10¢ more than RON97. If the difference is only 1¢ then I’ll use VPower Racing too. This post has been edited by HippyTony: Jun 17 2019, 07:31 PM

QUOTE(isr25 @ Oct 24 2019, 07:34 PM) Calculation and table of estimated price can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBNIf calculating 17/10 to 23/10 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), RON95 should be around RM2.30, and RON97 should be around RM2.60. However, since they announced that RON95 will be capped at RM2.08/l, my estimate is RON95 will maintain at RM2.08 and RON97 price go down by 8 sen to RM2.60 (±1 sen). Just a friendly reminder, I would not be updating the table until 31/10. Have a great week ahead everybody! Thanks for the heads up. Have a good weekend!

QUOTE(isr25 @ Mar 13 2020, 05:14 PM) I guess what this means is that I can no longer estimate the fuel price. What I can do is that I can estimate the “true fuel price”, and not what the government will set due to this. I’m sure everyone here is aware why the correct prices are not adjusted. I sort of expected this to happen.
