Looking at fb comments, wondering why so many ppl complaining about the increase in Ron 97 price, when probably most of them use only ron95. No one is forcing them to use Ron 97 also. If want to use, just pay extra la. No compulsion.

RON95 price is RM2.0919+RM0.3173 = RM2.41/L
RON97 price is estimated to be RM2.55/L (Around 14 sen more than RON95 on average) - an  increase of 5 sen.

What will be the estimation for 97 this week?

If anyone is still interested to know about RON97, it's estimated to be an increase of 1-2 sen as of 24 Oct. Will update next week on 30th if there are any significant changes.

It is almost same like isr25 calculation, using same source aip.au, bank negara exchange rate (selling rate, 12pm). In fact I’ve been doing same prediction since petrol price start floating at BN time, most of the time quite accurate; and now PH changed the mechanism I assume, included the weekends, and my study on the cycle is friday-thursday. When doing calculation, ron95 is based on roundup figure (regardless of whether 0.001 or 0.009, still will roundup to 0.01), while diesel based on rounddown figure. Just my own study during all these 3 weeks’ petrol price changing.

This coming Saturday, RON97 prices is almost guaranteed to go up to the RM2.80 range. Stay tuned for Thursday for a more precise estimate.

Am travelling for work today & tomorrow, so I couldn’t update or calculate accurately. However, barring any sudden changes in price, RON97 fuel price would most likely go down by 2-3 sen, and RON95 fuel price may go down by 1 sen.

If calculating 18/7 to 24/7 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), RON95 should be around RM2.26, and RON97 should be around RM2.56.

However, since they announced that RON95 will be capped at RM2.08/l, my estimate is RON95 will maintain at RM2.08 and RON97 price go down by 11 sen to RM2.56 (±1 sen).
