I don't believe in the method of slowly decreasing the number of cigarettes you smoke a day. In fact I think that's the worst way to quit smoking. I tried that method 4 separate occasions that ended up in total failure. Vaping, from what I've seen my friends are doing, well they're back to cigarettes now ever since the fad of vaping has died down. Much like weightloss, if you don't change your lifestyle, any weight you lost with any restrictive diet will come back very quickly. If you don't change  your lifestyle and your attitude towards cigarettes, nothing will change regardless if you cut down to 1 a day or 1 a week, it makes no difference.

Quitting is seriously not difficult at all. It was difficult the first 4 times I tried it because I've always been told it's difficult. It's difficult because everybody else in my life thought it was difficult, so I thought it was difficult as well. Once you put that in your head, oh gosh, no, I'm gonna reduce now, I'm gonna be miserable, I hate not smoking, bla3, it becomes really really difficult.

Previously I smoked 1 pack a day, sometimes 2 if I'm depressed or stressed, for 7 long years. I was basically a hardcore smoker and truth be told, the day I quit smoking was the most liberating day of my life. I have successfully quit smoking for 2 years now, basically cold turkey. What I did was, I listened to Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking on an audiobook onn Youtube. The video has been taken down now apparently but I'm sure you could torrent it if you want. There's an app for it as well if you use Android, you can check it out here. This, my friend, is the best solution to smoking in my opinion, period. Pay if you have to in order to read the book, listen to the audiobook, watch the videos, attend the seminar or whatever. It will be way more worth it than the RM17 cigarettes that you consume daily or weekly.

2 methods.........
1. stop immediately
2. stop gradually

either way, not easy.

will be easier if there is someone out there that you trust and can be around you most of the time for a certain period of time while you are quiting. will still be a real test of determination and relationship.
