I am a unwilling user here. I did not buy it.

Cons = maintenance cost

Single filter cart contains carbon, mesh & UV lamp. All are changed in a single unit. Unit has to be powered on all the time. Unit is pre programmed approximate 1 year to replace filter even if you don't use it. Filter used to cost 4xx. Now it costs 5xx. And u need to pay membership to get disc. Which does not really offer much disc if u factor the yearly membership fee.

Been using for 4 years plus. Average change filter between 9 month to 1 year. Cost 5xx per change. The good thing, never fail never shutdown. Downside high maintenence roughly 40-50 buck per month

i used to work in lab, i incharge with the maintenance filter,
uv bulb usually change 1 year periodically,
if you can get the part number, you can try search it in china wholesale website,
used to do that for cheaper costing, and it works,
(lab filter have pH counter, and it works fine as per setting after use aftermarket parts)

I understand ur feel Bro... I somehow felt the filter lifespan is determined by the Uv bulb inside it... I once chg the filter, my filter still relatively new, then I open it up, check the Uv bulb indeed it is blacked but still works.. So I concluded that it is the lifespan of the Uv bulb actually for each 1 year chg... Wanna test off the espring power actually when not use... But family not agreeable said if off later water inside the tube how...

Am using one too. So called 5k liter per filter use. But I think it's pre-programmed to change every year.
Been using for 2 years now.

Downside is the maintenance costs exp. Around 5×× per filter now. Am thinking to change to other brand like cuckoo.
