But this sports Devil when watching LIVE football will it lag like other? So far i didn't encounter any APPS can watch live football smoothly without lag. I only encounter once without lag when i first bought the BOX. I though is very good and happy cause can watch like normal even is 2mins delay. But after that one times, the rest are all crap LAG or cant stream.

Minix devices are known for their stability.. They don't oversell and their boxes do what they do best, each and every time.

I looked through all these threads and finally just bought a Minix Neo U9-H with A2 lite.After around 1 year deciding...

It came with FW002 firmware and i updated one by one via OTG up until the current FW006.This was very staight forward.

It came with Kodi 17.Beta 7, i simply updated to Krypton 17.3 via play Store.

I have never even used an android phone before now ,so you can imagine i was a bit in the dark to start off!

however so far everything is up and running without any problems..

I am also very impressed with the official Minix forum where one can get a ton of information and support from Minix itself.

Not he cheapest box but well worth it imho.

I am only using a basic FHD 32 LG TV,around 6 years old which is working fine...so next up on the list will be a new TV

Yes, it is worth it. You just have to be sure and get a truly smart one. Not one that claims to be smart but is buggy to operate.
I strongly disagree with this statement. In addition to the above, a smart tv is an added asset for media playback. It's easier to operate, faster to launch and if the app's are done right, for most uses, one would not have to always resort to the Android box for everything. I use my smart TV exclusively for certain local media file playback,  Netflix (Get full res + DD5.1 all the time), YouTube (casting direct from mobile devices and pc, Mobile screen mirroring and media casting of media content located on mobile devices..viewed easily and wirelessly on the big screen  and even the smart iptv for my iptv needs. Plus it's easier for our non-techy friends and family to operate the TV remote and or mobile device for casting, than to switch on the Android box and navigate.

Can one get an external player capable of doing all I've mentioned above and more? Yes, but we'd be talking of Nvidia Shield territory here and that's at significant cost and even then, the experience would not be as seamless. So IMHO, for a truly smart TV, an Android box is there to push further than what TV is already capable of doing.

for me i m happily using my smart TV connected to sound bar (ground floor) and Wifi via Unifi  at first floor. Multimedia at second floor.
My android box still using connected to half smart TV via LAN cable located at first floor which hv downloaded Playstore, kodi, etc. One thing is i m seldom use it as i m usually watch drama Series on my Smart TV as is FOC, listening songs with Sound bar with virtual sound.  

New users, please don't get Docooler M9S Pro. Very buggy, not to mention the faulty HDMI cable provided

Dear Media Sifu, can recommend any media player which can play 4k full bd playback with full bd menu, dolby atmos & dts-x pass through to av receiver other feature no important. 4k file are all in either iso or BDMV 4k format. Budget for media player is flexible. Thanks.

i know many smart tv (not android) no longer get update for their tv after 1 to 2 years... many app like youtube no longer works...
one of the tv manufacture is LG.
did they get google certification? yes they do...
but after warranty cycle, youtube oso cannot play...

youtube is build by google for lg n ss.
even lg n ss still support their own os, but stopped support for older tv.
google is not responsible for the app future update.

tat y manufacturer update is more important than google certification.

I believe boxes with HDMI-IN ports are able to accept incoming data for recording purposes. Basically DVR capable.
