Not wifi per se...I noticed the last few weeks internet is a bit unstable...quick disconnect /reconnect...you can check your router connection up time see if it's related...

YunTV were having problems like buffering for the last few days. So I switched to CloudTV for my wife. She watched some channels with this apps.  biggrin.gif

oh! I didn't try changing the server. I set to Asia. Maybe I should try switching to Europe?  hmm.gif
*
Depends where is the bottleneck...sometimes help, sometime not...

Sometimes the route got many jumps...sometimes less...to the same server...

That's why having a few sources help...i remember once it was so bad just had to shut it down and do something else...next day back to normal...

I ordered Km8 pro also from Lazada now waiting. Looking for better kodi experience. Although now a bit 'menyesal' as from otherforum s912 is not really recommended.
*
Why? Many using S912 without problems... only those xxxxElecs people not supporting....and those xxxxElecs are geared to run only Kodi and usually nothing else...

This KM8 pro quite interesting also...

The first review of RK3399 SoC I've come across...in Yundoo Y8...this a very fast box but cost USD 120-140...

https://androidtvbox.eu/yundoo-y8-review-an...ockchip-rk3399/

Interesting that it's rooted, no DRM support, so Astro no Go biggrin.gif... but Netflix runs...

I guess Netflix don't care about root, but only verify hardware for 4K/HD, otherwise it's SD only?...

Edit: some FB posts confirm Amazon Fire TV runs Astro Go, also boxes can be mod to run it...

Also ZTE is getting into the box business...

KM8 pro [^pomen_GTR^].

xxxxElecs/Kodi not supporting Amlogic fix/hack codes...we now have FTMC with Amlogic fix...so don't worry...

The FTMC fork fix for AMLogic equipped devices is for those stuck running Android 4.4.2 and to address the SSL V2 compliance issues faced by certain addons not being able to play files from such sources.. Previous unaddressed performance issues remain.
*
They gave me the impression that whilst they have ported the common SSLv2 libraries for 4.4, they are also maintaining the patches for Amlogic and Rockchip, hence there's two versions specifically for these two SoC...

The new Kodi have no patches and no support for 4.4...hence more "broken" for some folks...

Yes, I linked, your comment on Kodi volume still valid from your early feedback?

QUOTE(biggie @ Apr 14 2017, 01:03 PM)
At Lazada still processing  sad.gif , anyway when you uninstall the pre load kodi, will it also uninstall all the addons? Also from the review there is another app call kodi updater, will it also be uninstalled?
*
You worry too much... Kodi Black Belt, Master Voncrane is around... get your box, play around with it first for a few days, then hands on install/uninstall, etc. Kodi first page has all the info...in the words of fruitie... "even a girl can do it" ....

Yep , when i first came across I though it'd be easier for elder to get use of android box but it's hard for them to get use to it.
All apps are independently and need to remember and click etc .

Been awhile I post around,  comes to android box , which android box working with atog ? currently as I know they change the apps and non of the box working.Besides , android N is on the way where I still stuck at KK.
I saw some mention on Beelink devices , does it work on atog and kodi latest version ?
*
AOTG... pg 1 listed a few...

I understand there is a hacked AOTG apk for rooted box, there is also hacked rooted box to run original AOTG...

Thanks... this is very good price !!!

Usually 3/16 around 300...3/32 around 350....exception of docooler brand...

Now just need a brave soul to get it first biggrin.gif

Edit : this either promo or pricing mistake... seller's 2/16 is already at 250... Google found mostly 2/16GB and 2/8GB...

Is it possible to remotely control Android box?
Tested TeamViewer, didn't work
*
It works. I've posted on page 1 link to screen shots so long already...

Teamviewer can even control your box while you're out of the house...lol... fyi I think you may not have installed the proper host file...

In addition to the host / client app...you'll also need to register a free account...

The Wukong apps posted by OCMAX is another alternative

If you're using Himedia with Hisilicon SoC, you also have the HiControl apk

Super noob here.  I already am running netflix in atv3.

Can sm1 explain to me.
If i get any of these android boxes, can i

- run a webpage in chrome to watch on line movies ? I mean can i install a web browser app to use the browser as how i use it in my phone ?

- can i install plex in these media players ?

I need such options as atv3 can't the above. Tried plexconnect, but smthg is failing.

Thanks.
-
*
Yes. But I don't use chrome. Some browser will play video in its window...some will handover to the native player. But there are so many apps to play video...this method only for last resort...

Yes to Plex.

But Netflix depending on box, you may not get 4K or HD...

To your box...screen capture using phone running the client smile.gif
The host will install another small support file.

Set up a free account, set up the connection, and you are all done.

You can also control using your pc with their pc client...

Only shortcoming...no built in volume control...

Just wondering, if using this settings, would one be able to access most channels on Mangotv and Kodi?

DNS is Domain Name Server...no impact on geo-blocking...just helps you with internet access, eg. you want google search, you type google.com, DNS will search for google.com and redirect you to 216.58.196.206...otherwise you will have to remember all the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx addresses.... biggrin.gif

What do you mean by "You can also control using your pc with their pc client."?

Thank you in advance.
*
you can use your pc in the office/starbucks to control your android box at home...the program you install in your pc is a "client"

to be frank Teamviewer laggy and everytime it need approval from the host.

example: if my ipad goes to sleep mode, it need to login again. that being say the remote control no longer working after that.
*
It depends on ping latency I guess...mine's OK n acceptable with wifi & 4G...it's designed for enterprise deployment, not really designed for use within the home. On Android no issue when I reconnect.

Wukong is probably similar to HiControl, for use within the same home network/subnet only. The signal never leaves the house right?

QUOTE(voncrane @ Apr 17 2017, 12:45 PM)
It's called "Quick Support" for a reason.. Not built for long-term connection.
*
It's connected as long as there's activities...it will log you out when dormant.
