need advice. with today's medical cost, do you think it is better to go for medical card with
100K annual limit or 1.1m annual limit ?

If the cost difference to get RM1.1 mil coverage is not a lot then get the RM1.1 mil instead.

When you mention lifetime limit, I assume you're referring to the annual limit right ?

Because lifetime limit means throughout your lifetime, you can only claim up to RM1.1 mil and the card will cease.

If it's yearly limit RM1.1 mil then you can entitle to claim RM1.1 mil yearly.

you are right. it is annual. the different between the two is different by RM1200 yearly or RM100 per month.

i am hesitating, should i get the 100k annual limit or 1.1m annual limit ?

Honestly ... RM100 difference to get additional RM1 mil coverage is really no brainer

you may be right. RM1200 a year for additional RM1m seem a lot but truely are we utilizing this much nowaday ?
or RM100k annually limit is too small ?

with medical cost inflation of 10% - 15% per annum.

Treatment cost
a. RM100,000 (2017) -----> RM259,374 (2027) ----> RM672,749 (2037)

b. RM200,000 (2017) -----> RM518,748 (2027) ----> RM1,345,499 (2037)

The figure above is estimated, when you have a higher annual limit card itself, you can rest assure that you don't have to worry about your medication cost for atleast another 20 years.

so, in that case, 100k annual limit is just enough for current year.
to cater for future it is better for us to adopt the 1.1m annual limit instate..?

Of course, there are a few consideration you have to consider as well such as insurability.

Whether can you still get to upgrade your medical card in the future if you don't choose to do so now.

What can cause you not to be able to upgrade or buy another insurance ?
- Health problem such as pre-existing illness or overweight / underweight problem

thanks. appreciate your advice.
