Hi guys, currently have a insurance with investment link with PRUBSN. Paying rm260/month (should be rm200/month but have loading rm60 due to BMI). Here's the breakdown:-

Life--100k
CI- 20k
R&B 200
Annual limit 66K
Life time 660k

Thinking of getting additional stand alone medical card for back up with tight budget. Came across with MEDICA 2015 by Zurich. Breakdown as below:

Annual limit 100k
Life time Unlimited
R&B 250
Around RM90/month
Guaranteed Renewal Up to 80 yo

Should i go with MEDICA 2015 or have any other best option?

Thank you.

With that rm90/month additional, if put that in your existing plan and upgrade the medical?

I would suggest you to stick to 1 card that gives an overall comprehensive coverage instead of 2 different card because the difference you have to pay first and file back a claim.

For example, you can get RM1,100,000 annual limit card that covers both of your current card for the price of 1 medical card.

I think is better you look for upgrading within PRUBSN.

Encourage you to look for roystevenung for Pru related portfolios.

I also agreed that to combined together to one card rather than separate to two cards, unless you have previous medical history, where there will be exclusion if upgrade or buy new card, or else better use one card with high coverage. How is your BMI now?

my bmi currently is 32. i undergo a lipoma removal surgery last year. so, not sure if its still covered in future. therefore, i might need to maintain current policy.

currently have quite extensive insurance coverage from my company and also my wife company so im not going to use my personal insurance at least until im 60 perhaps. therefore ncd 20% from Zurich is quite appealing.

but i have no decision yet. need to discuss with my wife first. tq guys for your input. cheers.
