Whats the Pros and Cons for Medical vs Medical + Investment Insurance?
*
The premium for traditional medical insurance must be paid on time otherwise it will be lapse in the following month, that's mean no protection at all after that. If you are still healthy, the insurance policy can be reinstated. However, touchwood... become unhealthy, the policy cannot be reinstated back and you will lose the protection. I have seen people made complain about this, but the actual fact is they have changed their credit card but forgot to inform the insurance company or exceeded the credit card limit, thus the credit card cannot be charged by insurance company.

As for investment link insurance, as it has cash value in the policy, therefore the cash value can help to sustain the medical insurance policy. That's why the cash value in investment link plan serves the propose as a protection to the policy in case of short-term non-payment.

If i were to pay myself RM 120K , then for what i were to buy this medical card ?

I am attracted as it offers more than RM 2 Million coverage . Is there any possibility to avoid such terms and conditions ?

Hey Victor,

I feel you with such a high amount. I have helped you done some studies about the plan your purchased from HLA. You may access to the information as per the link below.

https://www.hla.com.my/CMS/Product-Services...uct=72&Sub=1144

However, based on the current product brochure, I could only see 3 deductible options which is RM5K, RM20K or RM75K with different insurance charges. Would it be possible that your plan is an older version of medical plan?

I will suggest you to call your agent or company to get some advise from them in removal of the deductible. However, there could be possibility of increasing premium.
