Dear Insurance Experts,
I have a rather complicated situation here where I am desperately in need of a medical coverage. To cut it short, 9 years ago I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia upon my hospitalization where it almost ended my life. I suffered from numerous neurological symptoms which was very intense. I have had a number of procedures for my treatment including a nerve decompression surgery known as Occipital Cervical Fusion & Thracheostomy. Although such conditions were treated but it does not completely recovers me, I am still left with a number symptoms that yet to subside.
I did apply for a coverage 1-2 years later after I encountered such misfortune but was rejected and then had given up. Now I am panic as I have witnessed a number of tragedies that happened to the people around me recently.
I am not covered individually by any insurance company, the bill was settled by my father with his own money approximately paying 70% of the total bill and the remaining by his company medical coverage for employees children until the age of 23 but now I am 25.
By any chance can I still get covered medically? Some agent told me that one of my disorder falls under the Critical category so it is impossible for me to get insured. Just want to check further whether if its true or do I still have hope.
Thanks.
