Anyone familiar with Great Eastern Investment Link - Smart Protect Essential 2 which includes:
1) Smart Medic Xtra SMX150 which gives a 90k Annual Limit, No lifetime limit

plus

2) Smart Extender which gives RM900k Annual Limit, No lifetime limit.

According to the agent, the Smart Extender has a 90k deductible which actually uses from the Smart Medic Xtra annual limit. Meaning you actually get RM990k Annual Limit with No Life Time Limit.

Room rate is only RM150, but the premium per month is only around RM270 which is really cheap for a RM990k annual limit with no life time limit.
Includes premium waiver and early CI payout.

My current policy with AIA is catered more to investment side but only gives RM120k annual limit with no life time limit, no premium waiver and no early CI. Premium per month is also around RM270.

There is a lifetime limit, which is RM900,000. You may refer to their brochure.

You can always upgrade the AIA current policy to RM1.1 mil with A-Med Booster.

This was exactly written in the brochure/proposal generated:

Smart Medic Xtra SMX150
22) Overall Lifetime Limit for Items (1) to (18) (Based on paid amount) No limit

Smart Extender
19) Overall Lifetime Limit No limit.

I read through the disclosure and ToC but didn't see any mention of a lifetime limit?

Cheap depends on your age also.

And also the cash value. You can either go for bare minimum premium to get protection and subsequently top up your cash value or fork out more cash upfront.

Best,

Yes, my AIA has higher cash value compared to the Great Eastern one but I'm quite amazed on the premium charged for nearly 1mil sum insured annual limit with NO life time limit. Usually I've seen 1mil life time limit with no annual limit, but not the other way around. So wanted to check if there are any hidden ToC that anyone knows?

Oic, not sure about that because that's what was given in their website unless this proposal is generated from their POS which didn't upgrade the online website brochure.

What kind of TNC would you be concern on ?

TNC for the lifetime limit. As the agent kept saying nearly RM 1mil annual limit with no lifetime limit, it sounds too good to be true.

One of the GE agent I met also confirmed the plan has no lifetime limit. I am considering this plan as well, just unsure take as standalone or attached it with ILP.

How old are you?.I was quoted with minimum death/TPD coverage and the medical plan, NO premium waiver and early CI pay out...at about RM270/month as well, mine premium is higher could be my old age (almost 50). The cash value can last about 20 years before I need to top-up the premium...I might take it as standalone plan (I don't like to be attached), since the total premium cost for standalone plan and ILP is about the same for next 20 years, except the ILP has a few thousand cash vaue at 20th year later.

I am still looking any alternative similar plan by other insurance compaines.

Which package? 90 + 900? That's cheap considering your age. I'm 32 and she quoted my RM270 with early CI and waiver...

You just judge a policy just by the premium alone. I am sure other insurance company can just be as competitive.

Instead, go with a plan that meets your need.

990k annual limit, no life time limit, early CI, premium waver, almost no sub-limit for RM270 per month with cash savings. I look at the whole package and the price. Do you know any other packages better than that?

Similar offers, yes, if you're looking for the cheapest, there is no such thing as cheapest because for anything you reduce lower compromises your policy either now or in the future. The agents are able to alter to the cheapest at the expense of your policy sustainability in the long term.

Which is why an agent must be transparent when explaining on the plan before you subscribe to it.

I'm not asking for the cheapest, i'm asking if there is any better package than that for the same price. If the whole package is the same for company A and B without any other compromises, but the pricing for A is cheaper then of course that would be considered better.
