QUOTE(kazekage_09 @ Aug 18 2017, 09:05 AM) Hi I don't know if this is the right thread for my question. I am looking for travel insurance that cover for family going new zealand for 2 weeks but specifically want policy that can cover motorhome rental excess as high as NZD3000. Currently the motorhome that I booked has an excess of NZD3000. To reduce the excess to nil I need to take their comprehensive excess reduction plan which cost NZD69 per day and total for 10 days is NZD690, that around RM2000 just for their insurance which is ridiculously insane! try https://www.rentalcover.com/excess-coverage-new-zealand for motorhome excess reduction plan This post has been edited by GunMetalX: Aug 18 2017, 09:49 PM

AIA A‑Life Med Regular family protection can cover kids till they are what age? when they have to convert to new adult policy, will they get exclusion for illnesses that they have claimed when they are kids under the family plan?

QUOTE(roystevenung @ Aug 26 2017, 06:46 PM) Is it written in the policy contract that it is able to be converted once the child is 23 yo, irrespective of the medical condition? Will PM you the contact when they are settled as the child is still undergoing blood transfusion at KL. The child is now 21 yo. They did inquire of the conversion with their agent, an AIA Agency Manager (30 years in this business) and he says no. That is why if you say it is able to convert, I will want to pass them to you if you can show that it is written in the contract. The family has so far spend ~RM300K, mostly from own savings, sold the grandma house. Of course it is understood that the child is not able to take up a new policy before he hits 23 yo due to preexisting illness. 21 yo still covered under family plan right? Why have to sell house?

QUOTE(flintbatu @ Jun 18 2018, 05:09 PM) Roy, Thank you for the reply. Just keeping my finger crossed! It was a bad experience and I am partly responsible for not checking throughly on the policy given to me. Will see how it goes after the investigation by Prudential. I am also from Penang! Bro, after all the treatment done and you are discharged....did the doctor still stuck to his diagnosis that your illness this time is related to your operation done 8 years ago? if it's not related, don't worry if Prudential deny your claims, go ahead and file a case with Financial Mediation Bureau to have BNM involved.. Non-disclosure can be grounds to deny GL but shouldnt be grounds to deny claims if present illness is unrelated to previous hospitalization.
