QUOTE(takoWALIAO @ Jun 14 2018, 01:45 PM) Based on previous replies and reading up the company's website, my understanding of an agent's role seems pretty similar to any other sales job then. why u limited urself to single insurance company? Also, I heard there might be an examination before one can begin the career (PCEIA according to Allianz's website). Is it compulsory for all companies? And if so, do you have any tips for the usual test content? if u join insurance broker u have more upper hand compare to joining single company |

QUOTE(simonhtz @ Jul 24 2018, 01:54 PM) It’s a personal thing. I got a habit of archiving everything into my Dropbox. u r malaysian working at SG that why buying SG insurance policy?Bank statements, investment statements, telco bills, ID documents, travel plans, etc all stretching a span of almost 10 years. I usually have instant access to all my docs on my cell/iPad/home pc. SnP and loan docs maybe a different story though. It never occurred to me to archive my insurance policies because softcopy was never to provided to me. 2 things changed my mind recently. Bought a med policy here in Singapore and Policy Pal. Right after my med policy is in force, I was told that there aren’t any hard copy policy, it was avail to me anytime in their insurers portal. I felt that this is a good move for consumers and agents alike. Then I got policy pal on my cell, a neat little gadget where import my policy docs, it’ll be summarize and table all important information in one single app - I did that with my newly acquire med policy. Additional info, Policy Pal was develop by a SG fintech IIRC. Curious me eager to try out non-Sg policy on that app. TL;DR - blokes like me loves to digitize personal documents hell-bent at getting his policies digitize. |

QUOTE(Meatballs @ Aug 30 2018, 06:35 AM) If the fund is not performing, then customers paying more in premium for the same coverage. As I know, it's considered acceptable if an insurance company perform on par like FD returns. Yes agreed. In the end customers at losing end The risk is bear by customer. When old time, need to topup due to cash value not able to sustain |

QUOTE(kazekage_09 @ Sep 13 2018, 10:21 AM) Hi to all insurance/takaful advisors/experts. I would like to seek opinion regarding my matters. ur plan is too expensiveLast June my credit card had been used by scammer overseas. I immediately cancelled the card and replaced with a new one. That means all my monthly takaful contribution was cancelled as well. I been dragging to update the payment to the new card. So I want to use this opportunity to review back my takaful coverage and needs. Back then, there are 4 policies auto deduct monthly by the old card. 1. Me. ILP from Prubsn takaful. RM200 (repricing to RM218). Benefits are RM60k annually, RM600k lifetime. Healthy and no claims so far. 2. Wife. Standalone from Medisavers Takaful. RM139(repricing to RM175). Benefits are RM300k annually, unlimited lifetime. She actually a hep b carrier but we didn't disclose. This is something I'm not proud of coz it wrong. So I determined to do right this time. 3. My 1st son. ILP from Prubsn Takaful. RM130 (repricing to RM144). Benefits are RM60k annually, RM600k lifetime. Healthy and had 2 claims so far. AGE and chickenpox. 4. My 2nd daughter. Standalone from Medisavers Takaful. RM89(repricing to RM131). Benefits same with wife. Healthy and no claims so far. I got so many doubts and questions and couldn't find the definite answers. 1. Both ILP policies (mine and my son) from Prubsn still active thanks to the cash values. But should I continue with same plans or seek other plans? With the less price I even can get plans with unlimited annually and lifetime. Or should I seek plans which has takeover policy advantage to avoid the 2 years waiting period? If let say I change policy, is it true the new plan with not cover my sons AGE and chickenpox anymore? 2. I also has 3rd son which is one month old but had been diagnosed with mild pulmonary stenosis. Which is quite weird since all doctors I asked they can't hear the murmur. Will have followup in one month and I hope and pray it is not it. 3. In my situation, which is the best action I can make? Continue old plan for me, my 1st son and 2nd daughter or seek new one? For my wife and my baby, the best is to try apply all companies by finding one by one agents or just find FAR since they can access to all companies? 4. The 2 years waiting period also something that I consider. And found that there are companies have takeover policy which is Zurich Takaful and Medisavers Takaful. So either change mine and my son to Medisavers or change all to Zurich Takaful is in my consideration as well. Zurich Takaful has this NCD discount 20% if no claims which I found quite attractive. Any opinion? Thanks. u better explore new medical card |

QUOTE(bamuti @ Oct 3 2018, 08:12 PM) Hi. I got my new medical insurance in end jun 2018. The waiting period is 120 days which is end oct 2018. I just got diagnosed with cancer. I know the new insurance will not cover my treatment since it was diagnosed during waiting period. I have my old medical card that I can use for this treatment. My question is will the new insurance be void or called off by insurer since I got critical illness during waiting period ? Will I be fully covered after 120 days by new insurance although I got cancer during waiting period ? sorry to hear that.Appreciate expert answer since I do not wan to waste money on new policy only to be void in future. Thanks may i know what insurance u buy? |

GE ILP can switch the fund online.
But Allianz still lack of it, still need fill in the form and submit to agent or walk in to center |
