how much do you think the driver can help in such case? the gap is too big. G80 Ultra will be the new king. manufacturers in taiwan haven been happy with R600's performance since..well who cares it's been delayed so many times.
was told by a mobo product manager that ATI made a bizarre request when R600 was still in development (prototype). ATI wanted the manufacturer to extend the size of the motherboard so that the card wouldn't "look" so long
