And also the processor of the phone matters too. If you compare iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, which share the similar if not same wifi configuration and controller chip, running wifi Speedtest on 5Ghz wifi network on both phones and you will realise iPhone 5s can score slightly better than 5c.
