Last weekend I went to Singapore.
Using my iPhone 6S
Connect to a 2.4Ghz SSID (DLink DIR-868L router)
Did a Speedtest and got this result.
[attachmentid=8481731]
Then connect to a 5Ghz SSID (on the same router)
Did a Speedtest and got this result.

How come I can get a faster speed on the 5Ghz connection?
Thats normal... Its like comparing 2 lane highway vs 5lane highway...Using my iPhone 6S

For sure wider 5 lane highway u get more chance to drive at higher speed...
But 5lane highway also shorter.. so u cannot reach far compared to 2 lane highway that can cover longer distance...
This is the easiest example to compare between 2.4ghz wifi and 5ghz wifi bandwidth speed...
