I'm at my wits end. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like its the end if the world ; but maybe I've just had it with this developer and their unprofessionalism. Faithview development melaka. The warranty on my home is approaching 18 months and the leaks in my master bedroom are horrendous. They have found cracks in the ceiling and whole floor above (balcony). They will have to rehack all the tiles, redo the waterproofing and maybe repair the cracks? I want an additional or and extended warranty from them as this is a major flaw. Is that feasible?I have contacted the lawyer but in the mean time, what can I get out of this whole charade? Besides a whole lot of mess. I live in the house with husband and 1 year old. Its a nightmarish situation because we can't even use our room. The developer has only sent lower level staff with no say to inspect. After I made a fuss, their stupid contractor brought in an expert who looked like he was going to pass out looking at the cracks in the concrete. My drop ceiling is in a state of disrepair! It's damp, musty smelling and gross. They claim they have ISO certification but any attempt to procure copy of said certification has been ignored. In the mutual deed of convenants, its states that the external colours of the property cant be changed but we have neighbours who've painted their property red and green. No AGM has been held. Nobody cares. Its a mess. What can i do besides accept the lies and inaction? How can they be so unscrupulous?

QUOTE(torres09 @ Feb 11 2017, 04:10 PM) i tot faithview quite reputable in melaka.. the big boss very kaya one.. Kaya doesn't mean honest or helpful. I tried to see him once to beg him to help. He refused to see me. Not unexpected but once in awhile you do here stories of bosses stepping in when their contractors screw up or who're man enough to just say sorry. He did neither. Their staff just gave me the run around and made me see some other guy called Mr Choon who was extremely unpleasant and unapologetic. This post has been edited by sarahdee: Feb 13 2017, 10:01 AM

QUOTE(oxm8 @ Feb 11 2017, 09:32 PM) That is terrible. Any of your neighbors have same problem? Or only ur unit? Leaks are extremely common apparently. It's a common denominator among all the houses. Alot arent occupied so they're not going to find out the full extent of the problems until they move in. My unit seems to be affected pretty bad. I think when they cast the concrete on the 3rd floor they did a shitty job. Hence all the cracks where now rainwater is seeping through. The master bedroom on the second floor smells like a shithole thanks to the constant damp thats now damaged all the drop ceiling. We even had sewage come up repeatedly because they threw stones and building debris into the pipes. They came twice to repair using a long hose. Just poking in the pipe. The 3rd time I had to clean up I called them and threatened the living daylights out of them so they hacked a portion of our hall to access the pipe and they found huge debris etc. I seriously dont know how I've managed to keep sane with a baby and dealing with this constant crap.

I believe if you have filed the defect list before the expiry of 2 years....the developer is liable to fix the defect and continue to do so (the same defect) until its fixed.
It doesnt constraint to 2 yrs as per spa.
Also i read somewhere that roofing issue is in fact lifetime guaranteed by developer...but cant be sure.

I suppose then i will try and get some written agreemwnt that they will continue to fix it. I will look into the roofing warranty. I just wrote them a strigly worded email. Lets see if they get back to me. I have to say they're nornally okay at coming to fix stuff, its just how they do it. Its like cheap fixes constantly that never get to thw root of the problem. Cost cuttig to the max.
