Hope all bros and sis can shed some light...

LIBRA ASNITABOND FUND has no sales charge, redemption fee, and switching fee. Does it mean I can buy in and change into other funds like CMF 2?

Cause RHB Bond fund has fees.. makes it look less appealing wo. tqtq

Thanks again

If cant I also don't know.... because last time I register in 2016 nothing much they ask.

are you new to FSM?

Start slow. I was in your shoes back then in 2016.

Don't follow blindly what we pick here.

For beginners for sure will lose money to take lessons. Haha.

I think no sifu here can deny that.

For UT, we can buy according to region. A port folio cam have core, fixed income and supp. Ratio wise is up to you. And how to react when volatility comes. And alert to market sentiment after all UT is also part of share. Up and down also here.

Pick your core. Pick your support. Pick your fixed income.

Now FSM recommended is better, they have region for you. Go there see see look look. Don't so hurry lump sump.

Take your time.

Based on my shallow knowledge in UT
*
If you don't mind.. How would you define core, support and fixed income?

Glooms spreads to Chinese provinces
BEIJING: More Chinese provinces have cut their annual growth targets in 2019 than the year before, a sign of deepening pessimism among local governments amid weakening domestic demand and an prolonged trade dispute with the United States.
Of China's 31 provinces, regions and municipalities, at least 23 cut their economic growth targets for this year, according to provincial announcements this month. In 2018, 17 provinces set lower targets.

"I personally believe the trade tensions could ease temporarily in March, but they won't be resolved once and for all. The US won't easily give it up, and the pressure could come back in the (US) election of 2020." said Yu Pingkang, chief economist at Changjiang Pension Insurance Co in Shanghai

Hi bro. Just doing some research. If say mid this year BNM decide to hike OPR rate. Will long term bonds lose out and short term bonds rise?

do you need to use the invested money in the next 3 yrs?

do you need to use the going to buy in little by little (to average down) money in the next 3 yrs?

if yes,...then, may I suggest that you stop putting in anything more money and plan your escape route for your invested money.

if not,...then, just go in DCA on the equities to form a diversified none correlated portfolios.....
*
Hmm for the money I plan to invest in equities.. I really have to think about this.

I have set aside emergency fund which I plan to leave in parking facility or bond like Anita. So if anything urgent I can take out. Good idea?

Sifu by diversified none correlated portfolio do you mean to buy a bit of everything? rclxub.gif Sorry for the noob questions.

some people put some % of emergency funds in the bank s/a, some % at home, some % in FD, some % invested in funds, some use credit cards as part of the emergency funds....
for it very liquid nature.......so not sure how many % of your emergency funds is gonna in LibraAnista.....try not 100% in it....for there is a lag time between selling and getting the money in your bank.

Found a nice article in Yahoo! Finance

Saving is not the key to building wealth—here's what is, says author of 'I Will Teach You to Be Rich'

The typical millennial has about $2,400 socked away in a savings account. But personal finance advisor Ramit Sethi says having savings is not the key to building wealth.

"One of the most surprising things that people don't realize about money is saving is not enough," Sethi, the best-selling author of "I Will Teach You to be Rich," tells CNBC Make It.

on 2nd thought....looks like this year got no chance for GREEN for my Affinhwang select asia oppor, United Jpn Discovery and KGF....still 10% in RED.  ranting.gif

My port recovered too innocent.gif I was very fortunate to top up some KGF when it was about -15% for me. So my KGF is about -4% in the red only. Hope can recover soon.

What's a ponzi2?

Also if I buy into this right now, will I get income distribution too later this month?
*
Ponzi2 is nickname for
CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund - MYR

As long as you buy before ex-date you are entitled. However please note that in Unit Trust buying before and after the dividend date is the SAME. Makes no difference because the dividend will be reinvested and the value will be the same.

No one can tell or predict the future.. The bull run may last for another 5 years or it can all collapse suddenly tomorrow.

The economy is still strong. The only catalyst I can see is the student loan bubble in the USA which is something that will play out in the long term.

If anyone can pinpoint any potential catalyst for the next FC pray tell. That way we can pull out.

The key is to stay in the game and average down with bigger amount when the next Financial Crisis hits. Thats my 2 cents.
