QUOTE(Avangelice @ Mar 21 2017, 09:59 PM) the way I see it a marriage is like an investment, you keep putting your time, money and effort into a gamble that the person stays with you and deals with the daily stuff they have to put up with while making sure you don't die from loneliness. good analogy so yeah. it's a definite must have in every person's investment horizon. then.... there's kids.... |

QUOTE(dasecret @ Mar 22 2017, 09:35 AM) Btw, the FSM rep posted on Cari Chinese forum thread that ponzi 1.0 will have a soft close soon for cash investment. In the next few weeks. Apparently fund manager want to control the fund size how about those that funnel funds to it via epf automatically? will those be blocked as well?So for those who wants to enter, please take note. |

But I also missed Eastspring Asia Pacific Equity MY drama raise...from 0.67 to now 0.7473. But after these year, regret after decision is not good for Investments, already accept it. since earn some from others fund too. |

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Mar 31 2017, 03:43 PM) Meh. it is a non issue to me. people see funds close they rush but they forget that they should have done their monthly DCA and allocated each fund a certain percentage in their portfolio. OTThese few days made me realize majority of the FSM investors here practice auntie and uncle style of rushed investment. PS I just topped 500 myr into kapchai AS PER PLANNED DCA. by next month if the fund opens I'll still do my dca. if it closes I'll just place it in my stocks. like I said non issue. Im not familliar with stock investment but in your opinion the return between UT and stock, is stock better? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 31 2017, 03:55 PM) Depends. If you passive income investor maybe 10-13% like dividend magic. But don't think if you can actually reach 20% QUOTE(Avangelice @ Mar 31 2017, 03:57 PM) I am not stock trader. I invest in companies with strong fundamentals just as how I invest in fund managers and their principles. you keep them both for long periods of time. once you do that it's not very different between the two investment vehicles. well only draw back for stocks is that it's all based in Malaysia so need to keep that onto consideration that you do not over lap KGF AND KAPCHAI with your stocks. Thanks for the feedback |

what are you guys opinion on dividend focus funds?
Edit: As i notice you guys are focus mainly on annualised return. I believe the annualised return don't take into consideration dividend income as part of the ROI calculation right? So such funds technically has some "compounding" effect in them. This post has been edited by WhitE LighteR: Apr 3 2017, 01:39 AM |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 3 2017, 01:25 AM) Edited. Not sure how to word the question.Basically i would like to know why is there less focus here on dividend focus fund. And more emphasis on just funds with good year on year ROI. This post has been edited by WhitE LighteR: Apr 3 2017, 01:42 AM |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 3 2017, 02:02 AM) Yes it is. From what you mentioned why people here choose fund with good year on year ROI vs dividend focus fund. Dividend focus fund = fund which give dividend or fund which invest in dividend giving stocks. Big difference you know. I mean this type of fundsSo please explain clearly what do you mean by dividend focus fund. |
