Ponzi 1 has been disappointing for a while. Probably should switch out.

Besides topping up PRS and a few reits, 2019 did not present buying opportunities. 2020 is much more promising so far.

QUOTE(xcxa23 @ Mar 21 2020, 03:47 PM) imo, 16k will be the lowest, based on my calculation logically potus said no to lockdown for now. he is known for also being a u-turn guy and might not have a choice anyway if situation deteriorates further...potus said no to lockdown and crude oil <20, expecting it to hit <15 if saudi really do ramp up production on april i remember when it hit 26k point, was at discussion with colleagues and they said its time to buy more its low enough but i said i am not buying now, still collecting bullet, its not low enough, it will drop more especially if the dow breach 24k mark but of cos all of them said impossible and start laughing at my ''stupidity'' so i tried to explain the reason but they dont believe and some of the older colleagues quite sarcastically said i am young, dont talk so big/loud, this will cause me to loss opportunities. so i still yet to pump money to the market. while they as of last week, they mentioned they out of bullet |

QUOTE(MUM @ Mar 27 2020, 05:03 PM) i maybe wrong, but I think if you are hedging against ringgit Malaysia with UT,..... I think there is no more "low risk" as it involves the fund performance risks and its associated risks and forex risk too... |

QUOTE(ragu91 @ Apr 4 2020, 12:44 PM) Topped up a big chunk into Greater China Fund and some small portions to EISC, Principal APAC and Titan. Do remember that china still is an essential part of the global supply chain and their domestic consumption while huge, is still dwarfed by their exports. If the rest of the world does not consume, china suffers correspondingly.Looking at China picking up the production capacity, I think they will get ahead than rest of the globe in next few months. |

If I want to increase my exposure to gold, would united golden or rhb gold and general be better? My thinking is that golf etf (united) would be better as rhb invests in the companies which are still prone to economic shock/supply issues.

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Apr 8 2020, 11:01 AM) My 2 cent Thanks mate, I think so too.United is a better choice because it is investing in gold etf. While rhb is investing in gold mining. Gold mines as you know is now close for operation due to covid19. The refinaries is also close. So operation is affected. And coz of all this issues, gold mining funds has been underperforming relative to gold fund. |
