Do you guys use VCA or DCA ? or just lump sum at the begining of the year ?

i've been doing VCA, and realized in a market that is always going up VCA is not very efficent way to invest. I am left with about 25% of my yearly allocation left in my warchest at the end of 2017... Now i need to decide what to do with that 25%, either add in lump sum now in the beginning of the year OR add into the allocation pool for 2018 warchest. Both seems to have its own merit...

CMF or just plain regular bank FD. Don't park in UT if it's only for short term. Just not worth the hassle n study required
